Jorge Masvidal has retired from the UFC after his defeat in Miami against Gilbert Burns.
Speaking to Joe Rogan after the octagon loss, he said, “I don’t feel the same if I don’t come in here anymore.”
‘I love you all. Thanks everyone for watching. This is where I started my career.
“Sometimes your favorite basketball player loses that 3-pointer and your favorite quarterback loses that shotgun.
‘It’s been twenty years or so. I am a multimillionaire. I had nothing when I started. I am gone.’

Burns was declared a winner by a unanimous vote in Miami on Saturday
Burns secured his win against Masvidal by unanimous decision, the judges scoring the fight 30-27, 30-27, 29-28 in his favor.
Masvidal took a large amount of punishment from Burns throughout the night.
Much of the fight was dominated by Burns after hitting Masvidal with a varying array of takedowns.
Late in the fight, he also made contact with several right hands that clearly rocked and tripped the hometown hero.
It left the 36-year-old to leave the sport on the spot, after fighting 52 times in his career.
Masvidal also paid tribute to Donald Trump — who is a strong supporter of — while the former president was in attendance on fight night.
“I also just want to say that the greatest president in the history of the world is sitting there,” Masvidal said of Trump. “I love that guy.”
