A hungry moose wandered into the lobby of a hospital in Anchorage, Alaska and chewed on an array of potted plants before security escorted him out.

The funny event took place Thursday at the Providence Health Park medical facility as the large animal sauntered through the front doors in search of some food.

The young moose headed straight for the plants — hoping to get some morning greens — while hospital staff and citizens snapped photos and videos of the unusual sighting.

The docile moose seemed oblivious to all the fuss and attention he was getting.

When hospital security arrived, the moose was staring down with some guards.

Randy Hughes, the hospital’s director of security, said: “It’s not every day that a moose walks into a building, so everyone was excited to take pictures and things like that.”

To prevent the large animal from running wild, some citizens formed a circle while others held onto some branches of the plants to try to get the moose to walk towards the automatic doors.

A video posted to Facebook shows a man moving a lobby chair to guide the moose to the exit.

No one was hurt during the afternoon’s fight as the moose cooperated with hospital officials and left on its own.

After the moose left the property, it stood outside the hospital’s semicircular driveway for a while before walking to the side of the building to take a nap in the snow. Fox news reported.

Hughes quipped, “Finally I think I’ve had enough of everyone watching him, watching him eat.”

The moose’s visit on Thursday wasn’t the first time the Providence Alaska Medical Center has allowed wildlife to show up in one of its buildings.

Bears have tried to get into the emergency room before, the news outlet said.

“There’s never a dull moment here at the hospital,” Hughes said.
