Samantha Armytage and her husband Richard Lavender are madly in love.
And the millionaire equestrian businessman has revealed that his TV presenter wife was looking for a change when they met and started their romance.
“A lot has been said about that stuff, but honestly I think she was just looking for something different when she met me,” Richard tells this week’s issue of Stellar.
“She has always been a happy person while I was with her,” he continued.
“We have enjoyed what lies ahead. It’s been really good. She’s a country girl, so it wasn’t much of an adjustment.”

Samantha, 46, admitted she was “lucky” to meet Richard as the pair took part in the joint interview.
“I think we are a good match. I was very lucky to find him at that point in my life,” she said.
The couple look smitten in the accompanying shoot as they posed for photos at their Bowral estate.
The journalist met her husband Richard, 60, at socialite Skye Leckie’s 60th birthday party in April 2019, and she said there was an instant connection.
Samantha agreed that she was “lucky” to meet Richard. “I think we are a good match. I was very lucky to find him at that point in my life,” she said
They later married on New Year’s Eve in 2020 at Richard’s 40 acre estate in Bowral.
Richard is a stakeholder of Lavender Equestrian, which offers a variety of services for horses in the region, including breeding and training.
According to ownership records, his 40-acre farm in Berrima cost $1.95 million when he bought it in 2007.
Sam will be the main presenter of the new series Farmer Wants A Wife which will air on Channel 7 on Easter Monday 10 April.

She reprises the role made famous by longtime host Natalie Gruzlewski – who will continue to be part of the series as a “co-host.”
Sam had joined the dating show last year as a “guest host,” but her small role has now expanded as Natalie “winds down” her duties.
Their roles are essentially reversed, as Natalie will be hosting her own segment called “Nat’s Getaway” during the 2023 season, with Armytage “front and center” as the face of the franchise.
