The Queen thought Prince Harry and Meghans’ behaviour was ‘quite mad’
The Queen thought Prince Harry and Meghan’s behavior was ‘pretty crazy’: The stunned monarch thought grandson was ‘so consumed’ with love for his wife that it ‘clouded his judgement’, new book reveals
Queen Elizabeth II thought Prince Harry’s devotion to his wife “clouded his judgement,” a new book reveals.
The late monarch was tired of the often fleeting exchanges between Prince Charles’ sons before Prince Harry met his wife-to-be.
But when the couple began to openly criticize the monarchy and discredit individual members of the family, the Queen was baffled by their behaviour, calling it “pretty crazy.”
She thought her grandson’s judgment was distorted by his wife’s influence because he was “so consumed” with his love for her.
The news is revealed in Robert Jobson’s new book Our King: Charles III – The Man And The Monarch Revealed – and part two will be published this weekend in the Mail on Sunday.

The late monarch did not enjoy her long conversations with her grandson, whom she found difficult and his behavior strange.
A source said: ‘Her Majesty found Prince Harry’s phone calls quite difficult and exhausting. She wouldn’t interfere in the father-son relationship and would urge him to talk to his father.’
But Prince Charles simply stopped taking Harry’s calls after his son berated him and repeatedly asked for money.
When the Queen asked Charles why he hadn’t budged, he told her he wasn’t a bank.

Queen Elizabeth II was “devastated” when Prince Harry and Meghan announced they were leaving the royal fold and especially after the amazing interview with US television giant Oprah.
She was genuinely delighted with Prince Harry’s choice of wife and had even expected Meghan to want to continue her career as an actress, so she was thrilled when the Duchess decided to devote herself to royal duties full-time.
The Queen allowed Harry to keep his beard for his wedding in 2018. He suggested in his memoirs that Spare’s brother William was “furious” at the decision

Concerns arose when the Duchess declined an offer of advice from royal faithful Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh before her wedding to Prince Harry.
But the Queen supported the couple as much as she could, even dismissing their tell-all interviews and Netflix series as “this television nonsense.”
Prince Philip was less convinced of the wisdom of the couple’s actions, saying before his death in April 2021: “It’s a big mistake to think about yourself… If you think it’s all about you, you’ll never be To be happy.’
Prince Harry and Meghan Markles’ Netflix series details more of their complaints about the royal family, including high-ranking figures.
From 38-year-old Harry’s claim that his brother, Prince William, left him “terrified” at their Sandringham Summit to discuss Megxit by “yelling and screaming” to Meghan’s claim that insiders at the palace “took her to the wolves fed’, there were no shortage of highly damaging accusations about the monarchy and its highest figures.
And Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, made several intimate revelations that shocked readers, including that he suffered a frozen penis and physically fought with his brother.
