The Secret Life of Cats! Felines skyrocket to internet fame as cameras on their collars show them clashing with rivals, meeting their crushes and chasing potential prey

  • Mr. Kitters has 1 million Instagram followers and 1.5 million on TikTok and lets viewers watch him meow at birds or chase squirrels

A pair of adorable kitties have a shot at internet stardom after their owners placed collar cameras around their necks and captured what is essentially the secret life of cats.

Gonzowho lives in Los Angeles is a cat who has 180,000 followers on Instagram and 607,000 on TikTok and his owner has already posted more than 600 videos.

They all seem to be capturing life through a lens, as Gonzo wanders around the backyards of his home.

We see him interacting with potential mates and purring within himself when he finds interesting objects, such as leaves or bits of plastic.

His owners, Gonzo’s owners Derek and Maria Boonstra, initially placed a spy camera on a breakaway collar so they could monitor what their pet was up to as he went outside and immersed himself in the local wildlife.

But it came back with mesmerizing footage, which has since been posted to social media for all to enjoy. His Instagram account describes the images as “life through the lens of a large loaf of love.”

In a recent video, Gonzo meets his crush, another cat he spies at the end of the driveway. The pair walk past each other as the cameras pick up a catty look from his feline fantasy.

In another clip, a cat fight breaks out with one of them loudly hissing back at Gonzo wanting control of his backyard.

The rise of wearable camera technology has given rise to a very special style of feline content, as avid viewers watch their feline stars jump and run.

Another cat known as Mr Ketters has even more fans online than Gonzo with 1 million users on Instagram and 1.5 million followers on TikTok all following the friendly cat.

Similar to Gonzo, Mr. Kitters also has a high-definition spy camera on his collar, allowing him to capture first-hand footage as he meows at birds or chases squirrels.

Viewers of the feline images regularly notice the excitement they feel when their feline stars leap or jump.

“A lot of the comments are, ‘I wish I were a cat,'” Scott Irwin, Mr. Kitters’ owner, told the New York Times.

While the long footage can be boring, as most cats spend most of their days sleeping or sitting, there are 15-second moments of gold, which is what the social media accounts seem to capture so well.

Some fans of Mr. Kitters even ask for specific interactions, like watching him climb a tree.

“I can’t let him do something like that,” Irwin explained. “All I do is post the videos he’s filming and directing.”
