The Chase fans are left in hysterics after Bradley Walsh struggles to contain his laughter
Chase fans were in hysterics following Thursday’s episode after host Bradley Walsh struggled to contain his laughter over a “ridiculous” response.
The presenter, 62, couldn’t help but burst out laughing when he read the possible answers to one of the quiz show’s questions.
He was composed at first when he read the question, which read, “In an old saying, ‘He who eats with the devil must have a long…’ what?”
However, when he started reading the answer options, the show’s host lost his cool at option A, which read “tongue.”
He had to take a few seconds to get himself under control before trying to read the options again.
He is there again! Chase fans were in hysterics after Thursday’s episode after host Bradley Walsh struggled to contain his laughter over a ‘ridiculous’ answer
‘Ridiculous’: The presenter, 62, burst into tears over ‘tongue’ as the end of the old saying ‘He who eats with the devil must long…’
Get it together!: It took the TV veteran a few tries to read the question as he tried to regain composure
Despite managing to keep it together a bit, he still couldn’t hide his disbelief about option A.
He muttered, “That’s ridiculous,” as he read it a second time.
He mentioned option B, which was “spoon,” which gave a little giggle and a short chuckle after reading option C, “think.”
Even the pursuer, Paul Sinha, 52, was quick to hide his grin as the host burst into laughter.
Despite Brad’s fit of hilarity, the show went on and the contestant chose the correct answer, which was option B.
Some fans appreciated the humor.
One wrote: ‘Bradley is on top form as usual’.
However, not all viewers could see the funny side as the TV veteran, who has hosted the show since 2009, accused of spoiling it.
The show must go on: Eventually, Bradley was able to resume his hosting duties
In the joke, even Chaser Paul Sinha had to hide his grin when he watched his colleague’s laugh
Winner: The contestant was all smiles as Bradley giggled and luckily got the answer right after the interruption of proceedings
Not Amused: While some fans saw the funny side, some fans were not impressed with Bradley’s outburst thinking it gave away the correct answer to the contestants
‘How could you live with yourself?’: Viewers were outraged after yet another controversial moment when a contestant slashed £3K from his team’s profits by taking a minus offer
One of them said, ‘Don’t give away that the answer is B by laughing at the other two answers! #the chase.’
A second commented, “Talk about spoiling, Brad.”
Bradley fake cracking again? #TheChase,” said a third.
While a fourth said, “Seriously, it’s not that funny, can we get on with it.”
Despite fan outcry, this didn’t remain the most controversial moment of the night.
Viewers were left furious after a contestant chose the minus offer during his one-on-one trivia round.
When player Brian took the stage after a successful first round, he decided to accept the pursuer’s -£3000 offer.
This meant that if he managed to answer all questions correctly, this amount would be deducted from the team’s potential winnings.
Despite the contestant managing to return to his team and eventually winning the game show with a shared prize of £12,000, viewers couldn’t get over his low bid.
Many claimed he could still have won by taking a higher bid and took to social media even suggesting he owed his fellow players money for the decision.
Bradley also caused the show to descend into chaos on Wednesday, after he walked out when a contestant suffered an awkward blunder.
While trying to outrun Darragh ‘The Menace’ Ennie, player Jane stunned the host with her answer to one question, ending up losing £7,000 she had earned in the cashbuilder and failing to reach the final.
Jane, who took part in the show along with three other hopefuls, hoped to answer enough questions correctly to win £7,000 towards the prize money and a place in the final.
She started strong with a respectable cash builder and chose to keep what she had earned rather than take the lower offer.
Bradley asked Jane, “The term ‘soft’ comes from a Latin word meaning what?”

The answers to choose from were sweet, sour or salty.
But Jane chose the wrong answer by selecting acid, leaving host Bradley stunned.
Bradley joked, “It’s a Latin word meaning sweet.”
Bradley threw up his hands and walked away from the table, shaking his head.
He added, “This is hard to bear after all that work.”
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
