Arnold Schwazenegger’s son Joseph Baena lands action role with Luke Hemsworth and Morgan Freeman

Joseph Baena continues to follow in his famous father’s footsteps just days after Arnold Schwarzenegger was spotted entering Venice Beach’s iconic Gold’s Gym with Dolph Lundgren.

The 25-year-old actor and bodybuilder has been cast in an action movie alongside Luke Hemsworth and Morgan Freeman.

deadline reported on Thursday that Baena had been cast in the movie Gunner which is written and will be directed by Dimitri Logotheti.

He will portray a character named Wally, a young wet-behind-the-ears deputy sheriff.

According to the industry news publication, the film revolves around Special Forces veteran Lee Gunner (Hemsworth) as he takes his two sons on a camping trip where they come across a fentanyl lab and are kidnapped by drug runners.

However, Gunner will stop at nothing to get his boys back safely as he faces not only a criminal cartel, but also the FBI and local law enforcement as he uses his special training to bring his family back together.

While Joseph currently works as a real estate agent, he’s done the footwork to become a working actor just like his Terminator dad.

Last year, Baena landed his first major role in John Malkovich’s upcoming sci-fi film Chariot.

He also starred in Bully High and an episode of Scam Squad. Baena’s acting career is definitely off to a good start as he has five upcoming movies including Gunner and another action movie titled Called To Duty which is currently in post production.

Celebrity dad Schwarzenegger shares Baena with Mildred Baena, who used to be Schwarzenegger’s housekeeper.

The news of the affair between Arnold and Mildred only came out in 2011, although Baena was born in 1997.

Arnold has four other children: Katherine, Patrick, Christopher and Christina. He shares them all with his ex-wife Maria Shriver.

Joseph appeared on Dancing with the Stars last season and it clearly did his body some good.

Last year, Joseph told Men’s health that he was eventually able to connect with his father because of their shared love of bodybuilding and fitness.

The pair are often seen pumping iron together in Los Angeles and Baena has even dressed up as Arnold’s iconic hero Conan the Barbarian for Dancing With The Stars.
