William H. Macy is sued for $600K by neighbor who claims actor ordered landscapers to cut his tree

Wood! William H. Macy is being sued for $600,000 by neighbor who claims actor ordered landscapers to cut down trees on neighbors property without permission

William H. Macy has been sued for $600,000 by his neighbor Pierce Brown, who says the actor “knowingly and intentionally” ordered landscapers to cut down trees on his property.

Brown’s legal team said last week in documents filed with Los Angeles County Superior Court that the Oscar-nominated Fargo actor, 73, caused significant damage to his property by having the trees removed in December 2021. People reported.

Lawyers for Brown said in court documents, “Macy’s workers … destroyed and removed or severely damaged several healthy, decades-old mature pine trees and other vegetation from the Brown property.”

Brown’s legal team said “pine trees and other vegetation” removed on Macy’s orders were “well within the Brown Property line.”

Workers for The Cooler star “damaged the gate connecting the two properties” while “gaining access to Brown’s property,” Brown’s lawyers said.

The workers, acting on orders from The Shameless star, “damaged and destabilized the mound itself” adjacent to neighboring properties, Brown’s lawyers said.

Brown told the court that he was on vacation when Macy’s crew did the work, and that the Boogie Nights actor “dropped in on Brown to discuss the condition of Brown’s mound” the following month.

Brown’s lawyers said Macy “acknowledged his workmen’s access to Brown’s property, their lack of permission to do so, and their destruction and removal of, and damage to, the Brown’s trees and vegetation.”

Brown says the $600,000 he is suing for bills for “loss of property value, loss of use and enjoyment of his property, loss of privacy, increase in noise, as well as emotional distress, irritation, annoyance and discomfort.”

Macy is father to daughters Sofia, 22, and Georgia, 21, with wife Felicity Huffman, 60.

He remained faithful by his wife’s side during her legal troubles with the 2019 college admissions scandal (which also involved actress Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli).

Huffman pleaded guilty in the case and was sentenced to 14 days in prison with a $30,000 fine and a year of supervised release.
