EastEnders’ Kim prepares to open up about her horror car crash, while niece Chelsea vows to give Ravi an alibi in a state of shock

EastEnders upped the ante on Thursday night’s episode as Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) prepared to open up about her recent car accident.

After using a phone behind the wheel earlier this week and then causing an accident while in the car with stepson Denzel (Jaden Ladega), Kim led others to believe the accident was caused by an inconsiderate pedestrian.

But after boyfriend Howie (Delroy Atkinson) ended their relationship upon learning the truth, Kim seems ready to come completely clean – when she called the police and admitted she had to tell the truth.

Elsewhere, the relationship between Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) and Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams) appears to be deepening as she vowed to provide the criminal with an alibi to protect him.

But as the single mom prepares to risk her life to lie for her new lover, she remains oblivious to his extortion and secret affair with mom Denise.

In the aftermath of Kim and Denzel’s accident, the latter regained consciousness and told his father Howie the real reason of the accident, recalling Kim using her phone while driving.

An enraged Howie broke off his relationship with Kim upon hearing this, telling him he could no longer trust her after the accident.

Devastated when her relationship came to a head, the hairdresser seemed to decide it was time to clean up and turn herself in.

When they called the local police station, Kim was seen telling a cop, “I need to tell you what really happened.”

Also in legal trouble was Ravi, who was placed under arrest for handling stolen goods during Wednesday’s episode.

And while he was released from questioning in later scenes, Ravi is still not free from his dodgy trading past.

Hoping to keep him away from investigation, Chelsea could be seen offering to lie for Ravi to keep him protected.

“You can’t go to jail… You need an alibi. Consider it done,” Chelsea told Ravi as she saved him.

But Chelsea stands blindly next to her new boyfriend, oblivious to the full story – including his secret affair with her married mother Denise.

Ravi previously threatened to expose his affair with Denise in a blackmail plot, after discovering that her husband Jack Branning was investigating him.

He was then seen trying to woo her daughter Chelsea as a means of getting the ultimate revenge.

But Chelsea may have fallen for it too much and are now risking everything for the former criminal.

EastEnders airs Monday – Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show is also streamed on BBC iPlayer.
