A town in Scotland’s central lowlands has been cited as Britain’s fastest market for people looking to sell property.
According to Rightmove, it takes an average of just 22 days to find a buyer in Falkirk, Scotland.
It is followed by Broxburn in West Lothian, where houses typically find a buyer within 23 days, and Renfrew in Renfrewshire is third after 24 days.

Seven of the ten fastest locations to find a buyer are in Scotland, where homes tend to find buyers faster.
In these areas, however, it takes longer to find a buyer than it did a year ago. The average time to find a buyer in Scotland is now 34 days, compared to 22 days last year.
Scotland is the fastest market in Britain, while London takes the longest to find a buyer with a long average of 65 days.

Four of the top five areas where it takes longer to find the right buyer this year than last year are on or close to the coast.
These include Ferndown in Dorset, Brixham in Devon and Heysham in Lancashire, according to Rightmove.
The areas where homes find a buyer faster than last year, on the other hand, are in the commuter belts of large cities. These include Windsor in Berkshire, Knaphill in Surrey and Cowley in Oxfordshire.
It currently takes an average of 55 days to find a buyer and a further 165 days to complete a sale across the UK.

Homes are taking longer to find the right buyer compared to the hot real estate market this time last year.
While homes then found a buyer in an average of 33 days, the current market is still faster than the March 2019 pre-pandemic average of 67 days to find a buyer.
Terraced houses currently find buyers fastest after 48 days, while detached houses take the longest to sell after 65 days.

Tim Bannister, of Rightmove, said: ‘Current market conditions will suit more down-to-earth movers, who may have been put off by the frenetic market conditions of this time last year, when the average time to find a buyer was near an all-time low.
“Despite what will feel like calmer conditions, the market is still moving faster than before the pandemic started.
“These latest data reflect current buyer behavior, with more buyers returning to cities and commuting distance from an office and the speed of the coastal market, which had seen some of its most frenetic levels of activity during the pandemic.”
