Collingwood star Jack Crisp will represent the AFL next week after a video circulated on social media containing alleged references to illegal drugs.
Crisp plays in Thursday night’s game against Brisbane at the Gabba, a day after the video became public knowledge.
Collingwood said on Wednesday evening that they had informed the AFL about the video and that the league is now also investigating.
“The AFL confirms that Collingwood notified the Integrity Unit last night of a video circulating on social media featuring player Jack Crisp,” the league said in a statement Thursday.
‘AFLIU [AFL Integrity Unit] will speak substantively with Crisp on his return from Brisbane next week.’
The viral video shows someone scrolling through Snapchat screenshots with Crisp’s face — and in one case, a caption referring to “some lines.” The identity of the person who wrote the captions has not been confirmed

The Integrity Unit will question the Magpies star about the alleged drug reference and ask if he consumed an illegal substance on the night depicted in the image, according to the Announce sun.
If Crisp admits to taking drugs, he would likely receive a strike under the league’s illegal substances policy and be suspended for two games, which was the punishment handed down to his teammate Jack Ginnivan and ex-Adelaide Crow Brad Crouch when their drug use came to light.
The video that went viral Wednesday night shows a person scrolling through several Snapchat screenshots, many of which clearly show Crisp’s bearded face.
Several of the photos appear to show illegal substances.
The last two images are explicit and show a standing man, but his face is not visible.
There is no confirmation of who wrote the captions to Crisp’s images, which were not taken recently.
The publication reported that the 29-year-old and his family had known about the footage in the video for years, but Collingwood was unaware of it until the news broke on Wednesday.
Presenter Karl Stefanovic and ex-Magpies coach Mick Malthouse questioned the timing of the video’s leak, describing it as “embarrassing” for Crisp on Thursday morning.

“Whoever shared this should ask questions about who they share their business with,” Stefanovic said of Crisp.
“What always gets to me is the timing of these things, it always happens just on the eve of a big game,” added Malthouse.
Crisp has played an impressive 191 consecutive games, dating back to the 18th round of 2014, when he was with the Brisbane Lions.
The 29-year-old was named Collingwood’s best and fairest in the past two seasons and was in the running to replace Scott Pendlebury as captain last year, but missed out on Darcy Moore.
Selected with the 40th overall pick in the 2012 AFL Draft, Crisp has played 203 games in his career and currently has a streak of 191 consecutive games – the highest total of any player currently playing in the league.
So far this season, he has averaged 23 disposals, 3.3 tackles and 2.3 clearances per game.
The streak of games is comfortably the most by any current player, well ahead of Melbourne star Christian Petracca (110), and Crisp ranks seventh on the all-time list.
The undefeated Collingwood will face the beleaguered Lions in an intriguing showdown to begin the fourth round.
