Marvel star Simu Liu shocks Hanjan restaurant owners by dining at Canada Awards

Marvel actor Simu Liu left the star of his fans after accepting an invitation to dine at a small Canadian restaurant.

The Shang-Chi star, who lives in Los Angeles, traveled to Edmonton on March 14 to host the Juno Awards.

Hanjana Korean restaurant in the small Canadian town jokingly set a table for the actor, who will also appear in the upcoming Barbie movie, a few days before the awards ceremony.

The restaurant shared one Instagram message image of a laminated photo of the star with the words “Table reserved for Simu Liu & Co.” printed at the bottom.

Liu said “Yo I’m down” on the post and actually showed up to eat at the restaurant the next day.

Hanjan’s staff did not expect the star to see their mail or visit their restaurant.

“Simu Liu actually has no a [reservation]but we hope he shows up,” they captioned the post.

Hanjan addressed the following part to Liu: “We are open until 12 o’clock, so if you [sic] tired of Juno’s rehearsals, come to Hanjan for some good old Korean couples [sic].’

Hallie Trono, a server at Hanjan, revealed that Liu was at the restaurant at 11 p.m.

‘I think all customers have calmed down a bit. I’m pretty sure everyone was staring at him,” Trono said ET.

Liu asked the staff for their recommendations and ordered seafood pancakes, corn cheese, cheese bullock and more.

The staff revealed that Liu was extremely “handsome” and “charismatic” in person.

“We were just super honored that he actually came and we were his first meal here in Edmonton,” Trono added.

Stephanie, a resident of Edmonton, was shocked to see Liu at the restaurant she frequented.

“I thought this was really nice and touching of him as he went out of his way to support a local restaurant in Edmonton,” she said in a popular post.

“It was nice to know that Simu Liu and I had dinner at a restaurant at the same time!”

The woman also shared a photo she took of the actor on her phone.

Marvel fans were blown away by the actor’s kindness.

“This is amazing,” one man wrote. “It’s so healthy!”
