Emmerdale fans discover HUGE blunder after Reverend Charles gives hospital-bound Alex a terrifying threat

Emmerdale fans saw a huge gaffe during Wednesday’s episode, after it ended with the enraged Reverend Charles Anderson Alex Moore making a dark threat.

The Rev was suspected of running Alex into a hit-and-run after taking the blame for Billy Fletcher, and was told he may be charged with murder.

However, in the final episode, Alex woke up from his coma, with Charles managing to make it to his room and be the first person he spoke to once his eyes were opened.

Charles learned that Alex was planning to tell the police that Billy was the one who hit him, which meant he could go to prison for a long period of time.

But Charles had other plans and told Alex, “For once in your life, you can do the right thing and shut up and disappear.”

Alex started taunting Alex, declaring, “What are you going to do?” You are a man of the trade doing God’s work.’

But Charles then revealed that he was not a man defined by his religion by taking off his dog collar.

He said, “I was not always a man of God. I’m going to help you make the right choices, Alex.

“You attacked my daughter, my family, you even used your own children as a weapon to threaten about ruining lives.

“But right now I’m a father first and a pastor second. It will always be in that order. Don’t try to talk yourself out of this. You are a snake and there is only one way to end a snake.

‘Billy and Dawn – they’re decent people. They’re a decent family and I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t look after them.’

Charles leaned slowly over Alex, as if about to strangle him, and begged God’s forgiveness.

But seeing Alex’s fear, Charles resisted and warned him, “If you try to ruin anything for them, I’ll end you, you understand me,” and told him to disappear from the village and never come back to turn.

The episode ended on a cliffhanger, with viewers waiting to see if Alex decides to flee the village or turn Billy in for the hit and run.

However, many fans were quick to note that since Charles had been arrested on suspicion of attempting to kill him, he shouldn’t have been allowed access to Alex’s room at the hospital.

One tweeted: ‘@emmerdale as if Charles could visit Alec!!!! These screenwriters should be fired.’

A second added: “As someone else mentioned, Charles would be allowed to see Alex if he is a suspect.”

A third posted: “So the man suspected of wanting to kill him is easily paying him a visit, ridiculous.”
