Sydney Roosters star Brandon Smith’s intimidating pre-game tactics have been revealed as he prepares to face his former teammates during Thursday night’s Melbourne Storm.
Smith, 26, will be the villain at AAMI Park and close friend turned rival Harry Grant won’t be surprised if the Kiwi International resorts to more mind games before kickoff.
In previous years, Smith tried to upset his opponents by texting a series of images featuring a livid Nelson Asofa-Solomona.
This time, Grant won’t be surprised when his phone pings with photos from another New Zealand enforcer.
“Maybe he’s sending me photos of Jared Waerea-Hargreaves instead,” Grant said.

Storm legend Cameron Smith is looking forward to seeing the rival whores go toe to toe.
The Waiting Immortal believes Grant “probably has a few more tricks up his sleeve” than Smith – but acknowledged that the “Cheese” can change the outcome of a game.
“Brandon is almost like a front-rower who’s out of a dummy half because he gets so much attention when he runs the football,” he told the The Sydney Morning Herald.
“And if he needs three or four men to take him down, the guys who hit the ball on his runs really benefit.”
