Queensland Police filed charges against the three girls allegedly involved in the incident on March 13.

Last week, the Housing Commission premises where she was allegedly tortured was set on fire by a vigilante. No one was injured.

Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Mansfield said the family had vacated the property before the fire, noting that its destruction means the housing department is “short of a house that other people in need could have gone to.”

“We could have provided some shelter to people who really need it,” he said.

Supt Mansfield said police are investigating online to see if anyone has posted videos of the blaze.

“Our electronic team, our Brisbane digital evidence team, is also combing through social media and such… to find out if there are any videos or social media posts about the incident,” he said.
