BTS star Jimin scored his first UK top 10 hit with his new song Like Crazy.
The 27-year-old South Korean track artist charted at number eight in the top 10.
This marks the highest UK chart appearance by a solo member of BTS, surpassing their own previous record from last week, with Set Me Free Pt. 2, which peaked at number 30.
Prior to this, the only band member to break into the UK top 40 with a solo number was J-Hope, with his One The Street collaboration with J. Cole.
As a group, BTS scored four UK top 10 singles, with Dynamite, Butter, Life Goes On and My Universe with Coldplay.

His albums Map of the Soul – Persona in 2019 and Map of the Soul – 7 the following year reached number one in the UK.
In June, the successful K-Pop boy band BTS announced that they would be going their separate ways for now.
The popular South Korean band shared that they are on a “temporary hiatus” to pursue their solo careers, but vowed to “come back one day.”
They announced the news during their annual FESTA dinner celebrating the band’s nine years together when band member RM said it was time for them to strike out on their own.
Several of the members broke down in tears during the Festa video while talking about taking time off to ‘grow up’.

In 2021, the group’s management company, Big Hit Music, said in a statement, “We would like to inform you that BTS plans to take a second extended official period of hiatus from the first in 2019.”
“BTS stayed active to interact with fans in 2020 and 2021 amid the Covid-19 situation, and achieved dazzling results to establish themselves as the top global artists.”

In 2019 it was also announced that the band needed some time.
“This period of rest will be a chance for the members of BTS, who have relentlessly pushed themselves towards their goal since their debut, to recharge and prepare to perform again as musicians and creators,” it was shared at the time.
“This will also give them a chance to enjoy the ordinary life of 20-year-olds, albeit briefly.”
For fans of boy bands, the announcement may sound familiar.
In 2015, One Direction said they were going on hiatus so they could pursue solo projects, but they haven’t reformed.
Other boy bands that broke up and didn’t get back together include 98 Degrees and Backstreet Boys, although the latter went on a reunion tour.
On Friday, the group released their latest album Proof, a compilation that combines some of their biggest hits with rarities and previously unreleased songs.
