Porter Davis home destroyed in Berwick, Melbourne after building company goes under
Furious vigilante traditions vandalize family’s brand new home in Porter Davis after construction giant went under, abandoning thousands

A new mom is distraught after disgruntled cronies break into and trash her empty Porter Davis Home.
The woman, who asked not to be named to protect the identity of her newborn, estimated that the vandals caused $50,000 worth of damage to her home in Berwick, Melbourne’s south-east.
She alleged that irate subcontractors – who have been left unpaid by the collapsed construction company – deliberately left faucets running in the sink and bathroom, flooding the property with more than three inches of water.
They even scratched and cut through the doors and walls with a knife or key.
It comes after Porter Davis went into liquidation on Friday, forcing it to completely halt work on more than 1,500 properties in Victoria.
The woman and her partner would move into the building with their 13-day-old baby on Thursday.
‘Twelve days ago was the happiest day of our lives as we welcomed our first baby boy,” she wrote on Facebook.

“We were supposed to be handed over on Thursday until the news broke. Today our house is completely destroyed making everything extremely difficult to move forward.’
The woman wondered what they had done to deserve the attack.
“I am absolutely devastated and shocked,” she told the Announce sun.
“We’ve worked so hard and put a lot of money into this house, just hoping we can bring our new baby home this week.”
The woman believed that their house had been targeted by craftsmen who had no money.
“What they did didn’t hit Porter Davis at all, but unfortunately only us, because now the damage is greater than what we had left on the house,” she said.
“It’s appalling to understand that someone would actually break in and do this to our home.”
The woman said she notified police after another Porter Davis home in the area suffered similar damage the same night.
Other individuals reported that Porter Davies’ properties were targeted by vandals, with the windows of three buildings in a block reportedly smashed.

Another man uploaded a TikTok video documenting the heartbreaking journey he and his partner had taken with their home in Porter Davis.
It includes photos of the site being excavated by an excavator, pouring concrete and finally foundations being laid.
But the footage ends with the man symbolically tearing down the Porter Davis banner from a fence bordering the half-finished property.
“On to the next chapter of our build,” the caption reads. “Long road ahead.”
