Ricki-Lee Coulter makes a triumphant return to the music scene with her new personal song On My Own
Pop star Ricki-Lee Coulter’s new song is the most personal release of her career.
The 37-year-old Australian star released his latest single On My Own via streaming platforms on Friday.
He posted the cover on Instagram before the inspiring track rocketed to number two on the Australian iTunes Singles Chart as of Saturday night.
Ricki-Lee told her fans that the song had taken her “her entire life” to tell as she introduced them to the deeply personal song in a moving Instagram post.
“I’ve been trying to write this song my whole life, it’s all I ever wanted to say in a song,” he said.

“Everyone has been through hard times, but they make you so much stronger and that’s what this song is about… celebrating getting over the things you thought could break you,” she added.
Coulter joined his friends and Nova colleagues Tim Blackwell and Joel Creasey for a listening party on Friday.

In a short clip shared on social media, the team huddled around a television as they listened to the new single with great enthusiasm.
Everyone could be seen cheering as the track started as Ricki-Lee squealed and yelled.
Coulter joined his friends and Nova colleagues Tim Blackwell and Joel Creasey for a listening party on Friday.
The 37-year-old recently told The Daily Telegraph that she is “very proud” of herself after almost 20 years in the music industry.
“I’m really proud to have sustained a career for almost 20 years and to have had all the crazy, wild, unbelievable success that I’ve had, but I’ve worked hard for it,” she said.
Speaking about her new single, she said: “Whatever has happened in my life, personal or in my career, the ups and downs, I know I’ll always figure it out.”
“And when I say this song is about my life and that’s what I mean.”
Ricki-Lee rose to fame after reaching the top 10 on Australian Idol in 2004.
“I’m really proud to have sustained a career for almost 20 years and have had all the crazy, wild, unbelievable success that I’ve had, but I’ve worked hard for it,” she recently said.
It was ranked seventh and the talented performer has remained a music industry fixture ever since.
This year he co-presented the Channel Seven reboot with Scott Tweedie.
Ricki-Lee recently revealed why it’s so special to return to Australian Idol, 19 years ago after the show made her famous.
“This show made all my childhood dreams come true,” Ricki-Lee told 7News.
“When I was a kid, all I wanted was to be on stage and perform for people, to make music that would make people feel something.”
Ricki-Lee also hosted last year’s season of Australia’s Got Talent on Seven, and was there to comfort the contestants backstage.
The Gold Coast native has had four No. 1 hits on the ARIA Dance Chart, ten Top 10 singles on the ARIA Singles Chart, two Top 10 entries on the ARIA Albums Chart and has amassed over 75 million streams.
