Viewers of The Chase were distracted this week when they saw a real connection between the four contestants.
The ITV game show, headlined by Bradley Walsh, welcomed players Henry, Liz, Tudor and Mary in hopes of beating the hunter and returning home with some money.
But enthusiastic viewers noted an amusing connection between the names of the players and the British royal family.
Host Bradley seemed oblivious to the quartet of very regal names, each named after a former monarch.
Taking to Twitter to point out the link, one viewer wrote: ‘So #TheChase tonight on #ITV they’re laughing. Discover the connection in the names!

From Henry VII to Mary I and Elizabeth II, every name has a very strong royal connection, with fans convinced the producers threw them together on purpose.
While the team had a solid set of names, their day jobs aren’t nearly as regal as the monarchy.
Mary is a 49-year-old children’s nurse from Wigan, Henry, 70, a retired insurance adjuster from Essex, Liz, 28, an operations coordinator from Stockport and Tudor, 57, a data migration specialist from Kent.
Taking to social media, one fan wrote: ‘Actual event today’, while another agreed: ‘Can’t get over this lineup in very 16th century #thechase.’
Noting Bradley’s lack of notice, a third tweeted: “Brad never noticed the names connection?”
It comes after Chaser Paul Sinha opened up about his battle with Parkinson’s disease last week when he took to social media to comment on a recent episode.
The questioner, 52, who was diagnosed with the condition in 2019, shared on Twitter that he was “chatty” in the episode due to his medication.
Paul was seen talking to the contestants who were trying to beat him and win the award and introduce Bradley.

Meanwhile, a separate person added their support, writing: “Absolutely not necessary and good for you, you are lovely.”
