A creative mom has shown off her DIY skills by transforming a $99 Kmart dollhouse into a mansion inspired by Wednesday Addams.

The mother said that her daughter is quirky, just like the main character of the hit Netflix show.

“My daughter wanted a haunted house/Wednesday Addams house. They don’t exist,” she said.

“So was on the hunt for a house that could look Victorian, a little paint, some copper wire lights, we’ve got a haunted house,” she said, pleased with her efforts.

The decor includes the iconic stained glass window from the hit show.

“I just painted a white circle and then drew the outline with markers and colored it in,” she said when people asked where she “got the sticker.”

It also includes a ‘thing’ creepily perched on top.

“We got the ‘Thing’ from Ebay, it’s like foam but harder, we need a softer one though as my daughter likes to carry it around,” she laughed.

The house is painted black inside and out, with all furniture matching in color and atmosphere.

The mother revealed that the equipment, including paint and lighting, cost between $100 and $150, more than the $99 she paid for the house.

And people were impressed.

“You’re probably the coolest mom I know,” said one woman.

“This is just stunning and I’d say better than any store bought one they would have if they made them,” said another.

“This is really really creepy, I love it,” a third added.

The mom explained that her daughter loves unusual characters and has undead dolls like Chucky and Annabelle, so the house fits right in.
