Biden is slammed for cracking a JOKE when asked his views on transgender school shooter’s motive

President Joe Biden came under fire Tuesday for joking about the Nashville school shooting that left six people dead on Monday.

Asked on the South Lawn of the White House if she believed Christians had been specifically targeted by the shooter, 28-year-old transgender Audrey Hale, 80-year-old Biden said: “I have no idea.”

When a reporter told Biden that Sen. Josh Hawley believes the shooting was a hate crime against Christians, a smiling Biden said, “Well, probably not then.”

‘I’m not kidding. I have no idea,” she added.

President Joe Biden joked Tuesday about his response to the school shooting in Nashville from the South Lawn of the White House.

Biden also came under fire Monday for making an ice cream joke before addressing the shooting that had horrified the nation hours earlier.

‘My name is Joe Biden. I am the husband of Dr. Jill Biden. I eat Jeni’s ice cream – chocolate chip. I came downstairs because I heard she had chocolate chip ice cream,’ he said from the East Room of the White House in his first public appearance since the shooting.

‘By the way, I have a full fridge upstairs. Do you think I’m kidding? I’m not,’ she added.

The president later called the shooting “sick” and “heartbreaking,” and demanded that Congress take action to “stop gun violence.”

Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri, in response to Biden’s tone and initial set of comments, wrote: “Shame on you.”

Later on Fox News host Laura Ingraham’s show, Hawley said that “Biden should acknowledge that people of faith are being attacked.”

He called Biden’s response “utterly below the dignity of the office of the presidency of the United States.”

‘This is a guy, this is an office that has the responsibility of leading this country. The children are dead,” he added.

Biden was previously criticized for making several ice cream jokes before addressing the shooting on Monday.

On Monday morning, 28-year-old transgender Audrey Halle attacked the Covenant school, which she previously attended, around 10am.

At around 10:13 a.m., Hale opened fire at The Covenant School, shooting and killing Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney, all aged nine.

Substitute teacher Cynthia Peak, 61, school principal Dr. Katherine Koonce, 60, and janitor Mike Hill, 61, were also killed.

Koonce worked alongside her daughter Anna at The Covenant School, who serves as a teacher/student assistant.

Within 14 minutes, Hale was dead, as Nashville police released photos of the two officers, Rex Engelbart and Michael Collazo, who shot and killed Hale.

Police revealed that Hale had been a student at the school and suffered from an emotional disorder.

Hale specifically targeted the school, but not any of the individual victims. A motive, according to police, remains unknown.

In a statement released Monday night, a school spokesperson said: “Our community is heartbroken.

“We are grieving a tremendous loss and are in shock coming out of the terror that tore apart our school and church.

‘We are focused on loving our students, our families, our faculty and staff and beginning the healing process.’
