Real Housewives of Atlanta star Eva Marcille filed for divorce from Michael Sterling amid an ‘irretrievably broken’ marriage

Real Housewives of Atlanta star Eva Marcille has filed for divorce from her husband Michael Sterling after more than four years of marriage.

The 38-year-old Los Angeles native told the court last week that her marriage to the attorney is “irretrievably broken.” page six reported Tuesday after reviewing documents in the case.

The America’s Next Top Model alum said in court documents that “there is no prospect of reconciliation” as she is seeking primary custody of her children with Sterling and child support.

The estranged couple exchanged vows in October 2018 and had two children: Michael, four, and Maverick, three.

Marcille is the mother of a nine-year-old daughter, Marley, with singer Kevin McCall. Sterling has been raising the child and she has been using her last name for the past three years, Page Six reported.

Sterling made it clear in the legal documents that she and Sterling are separated at this time, TMZ informed.

Marcille said in court documents that she should have final decision-making power over matters involving the children as their primary caregiver, the outlet reported.

Sterling should cover the children’s medical and dental expenses, Marcille told the court.

Marcille said in court documents that she was seeking an equal division of assets and debts during the term of the marriage, the outlet reported.

Marcille and Sterling initially got engaged in 2017 on Christmas Day.

The couple’s split is a bit of a shock, as Marcille took to Instagram last month on Valentine’s Day with a couple photos of the couple and a clip of them dancing.

“Happy Valentine’s Day forever and ever @miketsterling#US,” he said.
