Hugh Grant jokes he missed the days of hooking up with co-stars

Hugh Grant has joked that he misses the good old days when actors fell in love and hung out with their co-stars.

The British actor, 62, said that instead of flirting and drinking together, the co-stars are now just going home and ‘Twittering’ after a long day on set.

Speaking on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert, he said: ‘Movies are so weird now.

‘They’re weird because, in the old days, by the end of the second week, everyone would get drunk at night and have dinner and fall in love and all that.

‘All of that stopped because of the phones. Everybody go home and watch Twitter. It’s so sad.’

Grant has appeared on the big screen as the leading man in movies since the 1990s, starring in a number of romantic films, including Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, and Love Really.
