Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo has revealed his intentions to win promotion with Sunderland after thriving on loan there this season.
The 20-year-old has enjoyed a successful spell at the Estadio de la Luz this year and has chipped in nine goals in his 29 Championship appearances so far.
His performances have helped lift the Black Cats to 11th in the Championship table, in their first season back in England’s second tier, and sparked talk of a possible promotion push.
They are just seven points from the play-off places and Diallo has suggested that the Tyneside club have what it takes to reach the Premier League.

“The coaching staff, the club, the players, they all have a lot of confidence in me and I do the best I can on the pitch to repay the club’s confidence.
‘My goal here at the start of the season was to score 10 goals. Now I want to score more goals.
“But I have another objective, which is to take this team to the Premier League because I know it will be difficult, but I always tell myself that nothing is impossible.”
His contributions for Sunderland have been nothing short of brilliant, with his nine league goals this campaign making him their second highest goalscorer.
In addition to his goals, he has also contributed two assists for the Black Cats this year and has developed his all-round game, which has been noticed by Sunderland boss Tony Mowbray.
“He can play wide, he can play inside, he can play deep,” Mowbray said. MUTV. I think he can play midfield for us in the Championship, you know.

The United midfielder played almost the entire game in Portugal’s recent 4-0 win over Liechtenstein during Euro 2024 qualifying.
