Set in London, the film casts The OA’s Patrick Gibson as a low-paid intern who uncovers mysterious goings-on at a secretive corporation.
Gibson’s character, Paul, joins his fellow intern Sophie, played by Sophie Wilde, after he discovers a magical portable door that allows him to travel through time and space.

The sneak peek begins with Paul meeting the company’s strange but charismatic CEO, Humphrey Wells (Waltz), and his villainous sidekick, Dennis (Sam Neill).
Not long after joining the firm, Paul discovers that all is not as it seems and soon clashes with management, including the pompous Countess Judy (Miranda Otto).
Later, Paul and Sophie learn that the corporation is using magic for sinister purposes.

Also appearing in the cast are Arka Das from the blockbuster Lion, and Damon Herriman from the Stan Original series The Tourist.
Shot in Queensland, The Portable Door is directed by Australian filmmaker Jeffrey Walker (The Commons) and adapted by screenwriter Leon Ford.
