Filming of Silent Witness reportedly caused chaos on Wednesday morning when the Coast Guard was called over reports of a dead body on the banks of the Thames.
According to claims, the figure was a prop used in the production of series 27 of the BBC crime drama, which started around London’s Hammersmith Bridge.
A spokesman for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency said: ‘The Chiswick RNLI lifeboat and a marine police unit were dispatched to Hammersmith Bridge at approx. 8:30am today (March 22), following multiple reports from members of the public of a person in the water. Upon arrival, it was determined that no one was in danger.
Emilia Fox, who joined the show in 2004, slipped into character as Dr. Nikki Alexander for 19 years when new actor John Thomson joined her.

Adding a pair of wellington boots, her blonde locks were pulled back into a Dutch milkmaid braid as the hair and makeup team touched her up before cameras rolled.
Joining her for the scenes, John appeared to be playing the role of an inspector while wearing a navy blue suit and red striped tie for the scenes.
She also put on wellington boots as she walked alongside the star as they approached a doll lying on the ground, which appeared to be a corpse.
When filming the scenes, the duo leaned in to inspect the body, with police tape wrapped around the scene.
David Caves was also seen at the scene later with a blood mark on his face, wearing navy blue overalls.
The snaps mark the first time the cast has been seen filming for the new season, after series 26’s broadcast came to a close in February.
