Trump releases video as he waits for indictment vowing to dismantle the ‘deep state’

Donald Trump on Tuesday outlined his plans to dismantle what he calls the “deep state” and root out corruption in Washington.

It is reportedly finalizing evidence hearings and could make a decision Wednesday on whether to charge the former president in connection with hush money paid to Stormy Daniels.

The case has revived Trump’s accusations that Democrats have been arming key institutions against him.

“This is how I will destroy the deep state and restore government controlled by the people and for the people,” he said in a video.

“First, I will immediately reissue my 2020 executive order and restore the president’s authority to remove rogue bureaucrats. And I will use that power very aggressively.”

Donald Trump on Tuesday laid out his plans to dismantle what he calls the “deep state” and root out corruption in Washington, issuing a video statement

He vowed to overhaul institutions that have been “armed,” move key institutions outside the “Washington swamp,” crack down on government leaks, and create a “truth and reconciliation commission” to expose deep state espionage.

“Fourth, to expose the deceit and abuse of power that have torn our country apart, we will establish a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to declassify and publish all documents on state espionage, censorship and corruption, and there are plenty of them.” . ‘ he said.

Fifth, we will crack down on government leaks that collude with fake news to intentionally weave false stories and undermine our government and our democracy. Where possible, we will pursue criminal charges.

“Sixth, we will make each office of the Inspector General independent and keep it physically separate from the departments they oversee so that they don’t become the protectors of the deep state.”

Over the weekend, Trump called on his supporters to protest in his defense, claiming he was expected to be arrested Tuesday in connection with an investigation into $130,000 paid to adult film star Daniels.

Trump has denied having an affair with Daniels, accusing his former fixer and lawyer Michael Cohen of lying about his role in the payoff.

He has used social media to continue attacks on the investigation, notably directing his anger at Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, a Democrat.

And he has sent out a series of fundraising emails, using the threatening indictment to raise funds from supporters.

“This is election interference — radical left Democrats and the New York District Attorney’s office are politicizing our justice system to influence the 2024 presidential race,” someone said Tuesday.

“This is unprecedented — never before has a former president been indicted.”

On Monday night, he also released a video venting his anger at the DA and Daniels, as well as denouncing the various investigations he has faced.

“These four ghastly far-left Democratic investigations into your favorite president of all time — me — is just a continuation of the most abhorrent witch hunt in our country’s history.

“It went on forever, with Russia, Russia, Russia and Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine and the Mueller hoax. It is an absolute disgrace what is going on. They even spied on my campaign.

And remember this: with all the work they’ve done on Mueller — no conspiracy. That was the answer. It was everything, no conspiracy.’

For now, Trump is locked up in his Florida Mar-a-Lago home, waiting for a New York grand jury to finish hearing evidence and make a decision.

If an indictment is passed, prosecutors are expected to hold talks with Trump’s legal team to ensure he surrenders himself in New York.

The arrest of a former president — and a candidate for the 2024 presidential election — will plunge the country into uncharted political and legal territory.

New York police have erected barriers around the lower Manhattan courthouse where Trump is expected to turn himself in.
