UFC star Colby Covington has unleashed commentator Jon Anik in a bizarre and chilling diatribe after siding with his rival Belal Muhammad.

The controversial American made a shock appearance at UFC 286 in London after being chosen as the backup for Leon Edwards and Karamu Usman’s main event over Muhammad, with whom he has shared a feud of late, and Anik expressed surprise that the latter instead got no chance.

Anik had tweeted endorsing his support for Mohammed as deputy, saying, ‘I totally understand why Colby Covington was the backup, but hard not to feel for @bullyb170! Unbeaten streak of 9 fights. Hasn’t lost in over 4 years. I just knocked out a previously undefeated fighter. The man deserves his respect and I’m not saying he’s hosting a podcast with my twin brother.”

Covington launched an X-rated diatribe after objecting to his support for Mohammed – who has defied his rival in recent weeks by calling him a coward and insisting the 35-year-old has a chance to fight him has rejected.

‘Chaos’ had also accused his rival Muhammad of racism after claiming he had been given a title shot because he was white – and attacked Anik for being his ‘cheerleader’.

“You’re not talking about Belal, you’re talking about the racist,” Covington told MMAFighting.

“That man is so much more than racist, everything he does is racist, the man is a lame joke. He says I’m in this position because of my skin color, because I’m white? That is clearly racism.

“And do you know who hangs out and hangs out with that racist? Jon Anik. Jon Anik, you know, supports that racism. He is [Anik] supposed to be impartial, he should have those headphones, he should be an interviewer, he should remain impartial… Do you want to be a cheerleader? Put down the headphones, pick up the pom-poms, step aside and be a cheerleader.”

Covington then made a despicable threat to Anik, warning him that he had “prodded the bear.”

“You wanted to lick my fucking balls in London, ‘Oh Colby this,’ but then you want to go back behind the stage and cheer for a racist.”

“I don’t want your kids to grow up without a father, just realize you live in Boca [Raton], I live in Miami motherfucker, you’re not far from me, so you better shut up. You poke the bear, now you understand that the bear is coming after you.’

It comes after the latest back-and-forth spat between the pair saw Mohammed share screenshots showing his rival knocked off a fight at UFC 286.

On Friday afternoon, shortly after Covington took the stage in London, Muhammad shared the text with the caption, “He rejects a fight on the same card so he can weigh in and not have to fight.”

The text message to his nutritionist and chef Ian Larios read: ‘Could b on the London card’ followed by a set of emojis.

Larios replied, “Whattt. Oh shit. Against who’. “Colby,” Mohammed replied.

After another response from Larios, Muhammad said, “I’m still waiting for confirmation if I can come to Chicago in 4 weeks.”

The text messages were dated January 25, suggesting the battle had been going on for several months.
