How celebrities are cashing in by selling their clothes
Celebrities are often at the forefront of fashion, wearing trendy outfits to lavish events that most people would envy.
But now fans have the chance to wear the exact ensemble they loved to see on their famous role models — thanks to some of the stars who made money selling the clothes they made glamorous appearances in on resale site, Depop.
The second-hand site has more than 30 million users, and sellers include models, singers, and fixed reality TVs.
They have wardrobes that most of us can only dream of – but for those famous faces who like to keep up with the latest fashion trends, it makes sense to get rid of some of their previously worn clothes.
And some have apparently made a decent profit from it; model Mia Regan regularly sells items on the platform, with prices ranging from £20 to £165 depending on the pieces.

Meanwhile, Charli XCX was spotted selling a revealing Thierry Mugler jumpsuit she allegedly wore in one of her music videos for £577 ($700). In total, Charli has sold £9,853.63 ($11,967) worth of items on the website.
Elsewhere, singer Lily Allen sold one of her coats for £300, and High School Musical sensation Ashley Tisdale also sold a Chanel tote bag for £2,000 on the platform from 2009.
Stars like Molly Mae and Amanda Holden have been outspoken in admitting to donating profits from their clothes to charity, but others have remained tight-lipped.
Molly-Mae, who joined Depop in 2021, admitted she was a bit apprehensive about creating the account.
