Pink says daughter Willow, 11, cannot have a phone until she can prove social media is good for you
Pink gave fans some insight into her protective parenting style in a new interview.
The 43-year-old pop star revealed on KTU 103.5 FM Carolina with Greg T on the morning show that her 11-year-old daughter Willow doesn’t have a phone.
The Philadelphia-raised songwriter, who recently announced an upcoming tour, said she won’t let the young woman own the mobile device until she can prove that social media is good for you.
She said during the chat, ‘I told him [Willow]flatly, “If you can produce literature from a credible source that tells me that social media is good for you, then you’re welcome to participate. Otherwise, good luck.”

During the conversation, Pink also explained that she doesn’t want to “coddle” her children for fear that the world will “eat them up.”
As a result, the cheerleader strives for balance, noting that there is a “fine line” between preserving the “innocence” of her children and “preparing” them for adulthood.
On her decision to keep a cell phone out of her daughter’s reach, she said: ‘It’s hard. A lot of my friends have their kids on TikTok and I don’t.
“I told Willow, ‘That doesn’t move my needle, they’re not my kids, you’re my kid.'”
The star, whose real name is Alecia Moore, also explained to her eldest daughter that there are “a lot of eyes on her” as the daughter of a famous public figure.
However, he did notice that Willow owns a watch that she uses to communicate with her parents when necessary.
Regarding Willow finding proof that social media is ‘good for you,’ Pink said: ‘She could be a lawyer. She literally could pass the bar.
‘She’s always right… I may find that literature, but good luck.’

“I’m so lucky to be able to bring my kids with me, and all my guitar players’ kids are going to be there…it’s amazing,” she gushed about hitting the road.
Careful not to “take over” the pre-teen’s life, she added that Willow will be traveling back and forth between the tour and home to make sure she has her own life.
The musician’s new album, Trustfall, was released a month ago, on Friday, February 17.
At the time, she shared a four-image carousel with her 9.2 million Instagram followers, saying: ‘I can’t believe this day has finally arrived! I have been waiting almost patiently to share my heart and soul with all of you.
‘This album means so much to me that it’s silly. I hope this becomes the “I remember where I was when I heard that album” for you.
‘So many options, how do I choose?! Chests, fanzines, vinyl. I want them all.
