Chloe Madeley reveals she relies on Richard and Judy as a new mum to Bodhi

Chloe Madeley has revealed that she relies on her parents, Richard and Judy, on “bad days” as the first-time mother of her nine-month-old baby boy, Bodhi.

The 35-year-old personal trainer, who showed off her abs in new snaps on Wednesday, welcomed her little boy with husband James Haskell last August, but has now admitted she felt “quite low” in her third trimester.

Chloe explained in a new podcast that she struggled living in the Midlands while her parents were in London during her pregnancy, but things are easier now that they’ve moved south.

Speaking on the Midwife Pip podcast, Chloe said of the final stages of her pregnancy: “I felt very isolated, very alone. I was pretty depressed and pretty scared.

“I also don’t think it helped at the time that James and I were still living in the Midlands and I was away from all my friends and family.”

“Whereas now, if I have a bad day… I just get in the car and go to my parents.”

Chloe described how her parents are now very helpful, saying that she is able to “catch her breath”.

She explained: “Just being in my family home with my mom and dad, who are also obsessed with Bodhi, I just catch my breath and come back to earth.”

“I reconnect with everything I love about my life.”

The couple lived with Richard and Judy shortly after Bodhi’s birth amid renovations to their London home.

But now the property is ready and they’ve moved in, with Chloe giving a tour of the house on Instagram earlier this week.

He shared a full tour with his followers as he filmed himself moving from room to room.

Walking through the front door, Chloe was shown into the spacious foyer with airy white walls and a beautiful parquet floor with bags of original features.

She then moved into the large living room before explaining that there was still work to be done and that she would be spending money on new sofas soon.

Baby Bodhi watched her mother as she gave her a glimpse of the ‘little’ downstairs bathroom which had been painted burgundy with gold fittings.

Chloe joked that the guests don’t like the room due to the lack of windows and that she was forced to use air fresheners and diffusers to avoid unpleasant odors.

Then her jaw dropped as he moved to show off the huge modern kitchen with gleaming white cabinets and marble workspace.

The dining room table, complete with quirky chairs, sat on an incredible spread with a modern chandelier and room for eight.

Upstairs, Chloe took a tour of baby Bodhi’s room, as well as her and James’ boudoir with mint green cabinets and a huge bed.

Finally, he showed the couple’s bathroom, which he described as a bathroom “dreams are made of.”

The luxurious wet room had a gold shower and marble cabinets with art deco fittings and fluffy robes hung on the wall.

She captioned the clip: “@Homehaskell Update.”

Last month, Chloe vented her frustrations in an Instagram post after sharing a photo of her daughter sitting on James’ lap in the back of a car.

In the exchange, Chloe was asked: ‘Why isn’t your son in a car seat? How irresponsible,” to which the fitness influencer replied: “Because it’s a taxi, look for it.”

However, the follower exclaimed, “Taxi or no, shame on you,” prompting Chloe to reply, “Understanding the law is not your forte.” Do you think you are more informed than the law?

‘How dare you insinuate that because we’re on a 10 minute taxi ride where our under 3-year-old son legally sits on our lap, I’m a bad mother. You are the worst of us women. Leave. Get a grip. Get a life.’

The law establishes that in taxis and minitaxis children can travel without a car seat if the driver does not provide them with the correct one.

Children must travel in a rear seat without a seat belt if they are under three years of age and with one if they are older.

It’s not the first time Chloe has had to defend the couple’s parenting decisions for Bodhi.

Chloe has jumped to the defense of her husband James after he was trolled after an interview in which he said he went back to work eight weeks after the birth of their daughter Bodhi.

The personal trainer defended her family after she said Mirror that she returned to work two months after giving birth, admitting she was “pride” not to trust James to be the breadwinner for the family.

She said: ‘Obviously James has a great income and he’s my partner and that’s great, but we don’t have a joint account. We’ve always had separate accounts and I think that’s a bit of a pride for me.
