Earlier this month, Shazam! The writers of Fury of the Gods confirmed that the superhero Pedro Peña is gay.
Speaking in dorkaholicsHenry Gayden said, “The only thing new about this movie is being much more direct about Pedro being gay.”
“And that was hinted at very subtly in the first movie. And I thought that was really important and I really fought for us to include that and bring it to the fore in this film.
Pedro, played by Jovan Armand and DJ Cotrona, briefly alluded to his sexuality in a scene from the first film in which the characters were teleported to a strip club.
