Sex predator Boghos Parizian’s dark secret is finally revealed by his ex-wife on VHS tape

A sex predator was finally caught after his ex-wife found a three-decade-old VHS tape titled “Big Mama” that showed him assaulting a woman.

Boghos Parizian, who goes by the name of Paul, was found guilty of 11 counts of sexual assault dating back to 1993 and will be sentenced by NSW District Court next month.

The court heard how the case only came to light after Mona Bennett, Parizian’s ex-wife, found the VHS tape in the family’s garage.

She was shocked when she played the video and saw Parizian with a woman who was “obviously drugged and forced to be there.”

She described it as a “blackmail tape” and sent it to the police, who eventually managed to locate the victim.

The distraught woman, who did not want to be identified, told police what had happened to her and they pursued Pariszian.

His lawyers argued that the sex was consensual, but the victim said she did not agree to be filmed.

A jury of eight men and three women took four days to reach a majority guilty verdict and Parizian is now about to go to jail.

Ms Bennett told A Current Affair: ‘I saw straight away it was an extortion tape.

“He kept saying, ‘I’ll show other people if you don’t come when I tell you to come’… and that was very scary.”

She went on and on like, “No. Do not. Stop’.

“All that still haunts my head.”

She described meeting Parizian years after the attack, saying he was a “sweet and considerate” man.

However, their relationship eventually fizzled out and he kept insisting that he visit the garage to pick up some stuff – making Mrs Bennett suspicious.

She then found the tape with the words “Big Mama” written on it in black marker.

“It’s absolutely embarrassing to have been in a situation with someone like that and have to say, ‘That was my husband,'” she said.

“I didn’t know him as the person he is now.

“When I looked at her right away, I saw she was drugged and forced to be there.”

She is also afraid that a tape of her exists ‘somewhere’.

Senior Constable Ryan Mitchell began the investigation after getting the tape.

He tracked down the woman, who said she had previously had a relationship with Parizian, but broke it off.

He begged for another dinner, and she agreed — and prosecutors suggested he might have drugged her.

She later said of the tape, “I thought I was going to throw up. Every time I think about it, you know, I feel sick.

“He’s just such… such a liar. Such a user, manipulator. He’s a bad, bad man.’

The woman said her family is unaware of the case and hopes it will encourage other people to come forward.

“I just want other women who were in my situation to put their trust in the police and start talking to them because there are people who will guide them and help them, for example to tell the story,” she said.
