And now it’s been revealed that Tayla Winter was forced to say goodbye to her beloved pet goat Hugo during the series after he ran away from his farm in Tasmania and was hit by a school bus.
He 27 year old nurse she has been left reeling from the devastating death of her furry friend, who shared the name of her MAFS husband, Hugo Armstrong.
“It was chaos,” a source told Daily Mail Australia of Hugo’s final moments.
“The school kids were screaming, and the bus really coped with it.”

“Tayla is absolutely heartbroken,” they continued.
She loved that goat as if it were her own child and has been upset ever since she found out.
“It’s been a really difficult time for her, especially with everything else she’s been going through with the show.
“She’s been trying to stay strong, but it’s been very difficult,” he added.
According to the source, Tayla asked the producers if they could stop filming so she could make phone calls home and ask if the mascot was okay, but they wouldn’t let her.

Tayla has previously spoken about her close bond with her goat, revealing on Instagram that he was more than just a pet to her.

Tayla surprised MAFS fans when she met her future husband, Hugo, and told him that she shared a name with their pet goat.
