Dressed-down Sophie Wessex cuddles a bunny at The Countryside Education Trust

The Countess of Wessex had an informal display when she visited The Countryside Education Trust on Thursday.

Sophie, 58, opted for comfort in jeans and a stylish navy blue parka with bright orange detailing while visiting Beaulieu, Hampshire.

The royal family was warmly greeted with a kiss on each cheek by members of the trust when she arrived, and took the opportunity to make a new furry friend while cuddling an adorable rabbit.

She wrapped herself warmly in a gray wool sweater that she combined with a thick scarf.

She completed her ensemble with brown leather boots and her blonde locks were styled in bouncy curls.

The mother-of-two wore a light makeup palette for the outing and accompanied gold hoop earrings.

The Countryside Education Trust introduces people to the British countryside, rural life and farming.

They welcome schools all year round, with an emphasis on hands-on outdoor learning, where students can experience everyday life on the farm and explore the woods.

It comes after Sophie donned her best camouflage last month to take part in an annual competition at Gibraltar Barracks, Blackwater in Camberley.

Sophie has honorary military appointments with the regiments and organizations that compete against each other in a series of challenges each year.

She holds a number of honorary titles, including Royal Honorary of the Colonel 5th Battalion The Rifles (5 Rifles), Colonel-in-Chief of the Corps of Army Music, Colonel-in-Chief of Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps and Colonel Commander-in-Chief of the Lincoln and Welland Regiment.

The mother-of-two put on a practical look to meet the soldiers for the event.

The royal family went to the firing range with the rest of the soldiers, where they demonstrated their clay pigeon shooting skills before watching them complete a rafting exercise.

But she still exuded natural elegance with a few well-chosen accessories and a natural make-up.

Sophie was dressed for the occasion in a camo print parka, which she pulled over khaki skinny jeans and brown boots.

She paired it with a navy scarf nestled under the color of her coat, which pops to add a pop of color to the look.

The mother of two added a touch of sophistication with a pair of tiny gold hoop earrings.

Her hair was combed back in an updo that was both practical and flattering, while wearing healthy, simple, and efficient make-up.

She accentuated her eyes with some sparkly eye shadow and mascara, and added definition to her cheeks with a rosy blush that accentuated her natural complexion.

She will also take the opportunity to meet the various members of the units and their commanders.
