Wild moment man attacks fellow passenger on Southwest Airlines flight
Shocking video footage has captured the moment a father assaulted a passenger without provocation in front of his children on a Southwest Airlines flight.
In the violent confrontation, the man put another man in a headlock while others on board were forced to intervene, shouting, “Don’t hit him again.”
It comes on the heels of a spate of fighting and disasters aboard US planes, with a 33-year-old recently charged with trying to open a window on a United Airlines flight and threatening to “kill any man.”
The latest clip documents a flight from Dallas to Phoenix on Monday and has since gone viral on social media.
A father in a beige blazer is seen grabbing a heavily tattooed man and placing him in a headlock as he repeatedly yells, “You ap***y.”

The assailant accused his victim of “aggressively” confronting his wife and children
The attacker, who was with his wife and children, accused the tattooed man of “aggressively” confronting his family – though witnesses insist the victim did nothing wrong.
Several passengers are filmed trying to intervene and resolve the confrontation.
But just as the scene begins to calm down, the man in the blazer suddenly swings a punch at the tattooed man.
A voice is heard shouting, ‘Don’t hit him again, don’t hit him again. Stay back.’
Later clips show the man in the blazer trying to defend his actions as he says, “Tell them what happened!” He approached me with my family.
“Don’t play with my family.
“I’m going to jail for approaching my family. I would die for my family.
“I will beat you.”
The Dallas Police Department confirms they have responded to the incident, but no arrests have been made.
Witnesses told Dailymail.com that the attack was unprovoked.
Caitlin Johnson, who uploaded the video to her Instagram and TikTok pages, said: “He walked over and accidentally bumped into the man’s wife.
“The man started grumbling at him and he just ignored it.
After they both got on the plane, the man walked back with his wife and two kids and came back upstairs and started yelling at the man with tattoos, “What’s your address?” and he really gave it to him.
“Then he started hitting the guy probably 4-5 times before we started recording.”
She added, “The man with tattoos literally did nothing wrong. It was crazy.’
A spokesman for the airline declined to comment on the incident.
Francisco Severo Torres, 33, of Leominster, Massachusetts, was on a United flight from Los Angeles to Boston ranting while sitting in his emergency exit seat
A photo taken by another person on board shows six people in the plane’s galley trying to restrain Torres as the plane touched down
“Nothing to share other than to say that our flight crews are well trained in de-escalation and we commend them for handling the situation and ensuring the safety and comfort of the other passengers in the cabin while also keeping Flight 117 safe.” from DAL to PHX. to arrive on time,” a statement said.
The Dallas Police Department told Dailymail.com: “On March 6, the Dallas Police Department responded after an incident occurred on a flight from Love Field Airport.
“No arrest has been made.”
It is the third dramatic incident on a Southwest flight to make headlines in the past week.
Passengers on a flight from Havana, Cuba, to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, were forced to evacuate on Sunday after a bird collided with the plane’s engine and nose.
Clips posted to social media show plumes of smoke filling the cabin while passengers were on board.
And on Friday, a 75-minute flight from Baltimore to Raleigh turned into a nine-hour nightmare after the plane began to “shudder like crazy,” causing several passengers to vomit and one to pass out.
Other airlines have also experienced a spate of disasters this week.
On Monday, two United Airlines planes were involved in a low-speed collision at Boston Logan International Airport.
Footage on board shows panicked passengers going up in smoke with their oxygen masks lowered and parents trying to help their children. It was reported that not all of the masks were properly released, and some had bloodied knuckles from desperately banging on the roof.
Meanwhile, a flight from LA to Boston made headlines this week after a passenger threatened to “kill every man on this plane.”
Francisco Severo Torres, 33, of Leominster, Massachusetts, was charged with one count of interfering and attempted interfering with flight crew members using a dangerous weapon after stabbing a flight attendant with a broken spoon.
In a video shot by a fellow passenger sitting only a few feet away, Torres can be heard threatening to commit mass murder while urging others to stop him.
