Microsoft adds a slime green color to its Xbox controller lineup
Microsoft is attacking our senses and our wallets with yet another addition to its neon-hued Xbox controller lineup. The freshly minted controller is called “Velocity Green”. available for $64.99 starting today through the Microsoft Store. As expected, the changes to this color scheme are purely cosmetic, with green covering the top part of the controller, the analog sticks, and the A, B, X, and Y letters on each of the face buttons. This controller works with Xbox Series X and PC.
If green isn’t your color, the Slime Velocity Green controller is available in addition to a variety of other colors offered for Microsoft’s wireless Xbox controller, including Blue, Red, PinkAnd highlighter yellow – all of which are currently available for less than their normal price of $65.
Releasing a new Xbox controller color scheme every few months may seem like an easy lift, but it’s still something Microsoft does far better than Sony. In comparison, Sony is moving slower and has been sniffing some recent DualSense releases, including the blue-on-white God of War: Ragnarok controller. It is however upcoming collaboration with LeBron James looks pretty cool.
