Meanwhile, in the video, Meghan begins by saying, “Random travel tips from an airline employee, part one. This is how you choose the best luggage.’
Her first tip is about how to make sure your stuff doesn’t get damaged unexpectedly.
She says, “Number one. Always look for hard or waterproof luggage, because you never know what’s in someone else’s bag, or what’s under the plane, and what could leak into your bag.’
She continues with her second point and discusses how to keep your suitcase looking its best for as long as possible.
Meghan says, “Number two is getting a dark tan. I know I didn’t do that here, and I’m sorry, but if your bag is specially stored under the plane, it will get worn out very quickly. I learned that the hard way.’
When it comes to her third tip, the airline employee discusses her hack to make sure she can cover airports and other distances with the luggage.
She says, “Three is a bag with four wheels. The two wheels get really annoying to drag around the airport after a while.”
Meanwhile, her fourth tip is “find a bag that’s expandable, because you never know what you’re going to take on a trip and need to fit in your suitcase.”
Among her five tips, which also include choosing a cover that’s expandable, Meghan (pictured) shared what she described as a “hot take,” saying there’s no need to buy the most expensive cover
Moving on to her fifth and final point, Meghan shares what she describes as a “hot take.”
She explains, “Five. Hot take, but you don’t need the most expensive luggage.’
Countless viewers took to the comment section of the video to share their own luggage preferences.
Some agreed with the airline employee’s points, while others shared differing perspectives or advice.
The comment section was filled with people sharing their own thoughts on luggage and what they look for in a suitcase
One of them wrote: ‘Buy the cheaper soft bags or super expensive hard case: they will not shatter due to temperature changes/poor quality. /former bag seller.’
Another said, ‘My trunk is lime green! I always see it when I pick up luggage.’
A third said: ‘Expansion is a must. A bigger bag always comes back. I feel like that’s travel science lol.”
Meanwhile, a fourth stepped in and said, “My teacher told me I need a soft luggage, because if it’s hard, we can’t squeeze it into the bus.”
And a fifth added: ‘I don’t agree with the hard sides, especially for international flights. I destroyed so many. The brand’s bags are great and light!’
