Married At First Sight’s Bronte Schofield breaks down after co-stars warn her about husband Harrison Boon: ‘I know emotional manipulation when I see it’
Bronte Schofield was left in tears after her co-stars accused her husband Harrison Boon of ’emotionally manipulating’ her.
The bubbly brunette, 28, was embroiled in tense scenes at the NSW Southern Highlands retreat, where Claire Nomarhas gave him a stern warning.
Claire accused Harrison of trying to “emotionally manipulate her” and Bronte responded by saying that the other girlfriends were just jealous.
Harrison has never once tired of manipulating me. Harrison doesn’t control me,” Bronte said defiantly, as the other girlfriends spoke to her.
I am a grown woman and I have my own opinions. The reason why they are trying to turn my relationship on is because they are jealous,” she added.

Bronte explained that the other girlfriends “just want what Harrison and I have”, before Melinda chimed in to back Claire up.
“We think you’re being a bit naive,” Melinda said.
‘As seen by several girls. We just don’t want to see you go down that path. We know you’re strong,’ added Alyssa.
Bronte disagreed with Melinda calling her ‘naive’.
“That basically calls me dumb and that my relationship with Harrison isn’t real and that really hurts,” Bronte said.
Bronte explained that she felt attacked and attacked in a group.
Harrison has never once tired of manipulating me. Harrison doesn’t control me,” Bronte said defiantly. Bronte responded by saying that women were “jealous” of what he has with Harrison.
‘I felt attacked. I’ve never had to sit there and have people pick my relationship when I’ve come this far,” she said.
Bronte then raged saying that he needs a break.
‘My husband is frank and says what he feels. And they’re basically saying that I’ve lost myself,” Bronte said.
‘Why am I being absolutely, completely ridiculed for choosing him?’
The girls opted not to go after Bronte, but Claire made her feelings known despite the tense confrontation.
‘I felt attacked. I’ve never had to sit there and have people pick my relationship when I’ve come this far,” she said. Bronte then raged saying that she needs a break.
‘Bronte, we care about you. We can see that you are being manipulated by this fucking idiot,” Claire said.
‘You have five of your friends sitting in front of you and telling you that something is wrong. Something is not right.’
Bronte later dropped the bombshell that he was in serious talks with Harrison about moving to Sydney.
