Kellyanne Conway puts a brave face on after announcing divorce from husband George

Kellyanne Conway put on a brave face on Sunday when she was spotted leaving her home for the first time since announcing her divorce from her husband of 22 years.

DailyMail.com photographers caught the former White House adviser smiling and waving to reporters as she left her property in Alpine, New Jersey, on Sunday.

Kellyanne, 56, had a markedly different expression than her soon-to-be ex-husband George, 59, who was photographed on Saturday looking dejected without his wedding ring.

She seemed happy-go-lucky as she approached her car in a green dress with matching earrings, accompanied by her oldest daughter, Claudia. She was even still smiling when she got into her blue sedan.

Kellyanne’s four children have been remarkably silent about their parents’ divorce since it was announced on Friday, except for a tweet from Claudia, who wrote: “Everyone needs to shut up.” [for real].’

The Conways announced Friday that they filed for divorce after 22 years of marriage after admitting that George’s criticism of former President Donald Trump was treasonous.

In a statement posted on their respective Twitter pages, the couple said: “We are in the final stages of an amicable divorce.”

“We have been married for over two decades, we cherish the many happy years (and four corgis) we have shared, and most of all, our four incredible children who continue to be the heartbeat of our family and our top priority.”

They asked the public to “kindly respect our privacy,” noting that they “stand together as parents to provide love, joy, comfort and protection to our beautiful children.”

Kellyanne and George married in 2001 and have had three children in addition to their social media influential daughter, Vanessa, Charlotte, and George. Both have hired divorce lawyers and are working to divide their assets, Page Six reported.

The Conways own several properties in addition to their 3,000-square-foot home in the Garden State. They own an $8 million home in Washington DC and a beach house along the Jersey shore.

The couple revealed that they are going their separate ways after years of speculation about whether the couple liked each other, according to Page Six.

George has been one of the biggest critics of Donald Trump and publicly mocked the president on Twitter while he was employing his wife.

She even went on to berate the former president on Saturday after he posted on Truth Social: “Congratulations to Kellyanne Conway on her DIVORCE from her crazy husband Mr. Kellyanne Conway.”

‘Free at last, he has finally rid himself of the disgusting albatross around his neck. She’s a great person, and she’ll now be free to lead the kind of life she deserves…and she’ll be a great life without the extremely unattractive loser next to her!’

Conway responded by saying, ‘I look forward to seeing you in New York at the E. Jean trial next month! Hugs and kisses.’

Trump will face a civil trial in April over a former columnist’s claim that he raped her in a department store dressing room in the mid-1990s.

Kellyanne became an adviser to Trump in 2016, serving as his campaign manager.

While she worked endlessly for the president, her husband, who co-founded the Lincoln Project, which worked to prevent Trump’s re-election, criticized the president on social media.

It appears the divorce hasn’t dampened his criticism, as he was active on Twitter criticizing the former leader on Friday, including retweeting a post questioning the president’s sanity.

Their political breakup was mentioned in Kellyanne’s 2022 memoir Here’s The Deal, where she revealed that she thought of her criticism as a betrayal of their marriage. She deemed her tweets “cheating” and it was revealed that Trump’s daughter Ivanka had suggested that the couple seek therapy.

Trump himself had even called George a “stone cold LOSER and husband from hell” at one point.

Another blip in the family’s image came in 2020 after their teenage daughter Claudia criticized her mother and Trump.

Kellyanne announced in August 2020 that she would be leaving the White House the day after the 15-year-old said she was “officially pushing for emancipation” from her parents in a series of tweets.

Kellyanne said she was leaving for the good of her family, to be “less drama, more mommy.”

George has also stepped away from his role in The Lincoln Project and has taken a short break from Twitter to focus on family.

In a statement at the time, Kellyanne called her time in the Trump administration “heady” and “humbling,” saying she and George were making the decision based on what they think is best for their four children.

“We disagree on many things,” she wrote of her and her husband, “but we are united on what matters most: the children.”

‘Our four children are teens and tweens starting a new academic year in middle and high school that will be conducted remotely from home for at least a few months. As millions of parents across the country know, children ‘attending school from home’ require a level of attention and vigilance that is as rare as these days.

Conway continued: ‘This is completely my choice and my voice. In time, I will announce future plans. For now, and for my dear children, it will be less drama, more mom.’

Claudia previously took to TikTok, stating that her parents were getting a divorce, but had called it off “to prevent her from emancipating.”

She accused her father in the video of not caring about her and not knowing her middle name and said that her mother has been physically abusive her entire life.

That drama played out on Claudia’s TikToks, when the 18-year-old posted a video in October 2020 publicly accusing her mother of hiding her COVID-19 diagnosis and saying that Trump is worse than he says.

Claudia later posted on the site to ‘clarify’ her claim that her mother had ‘lied’ about her test result, but the couple argued in the video when Kellyanne accused her daughter of ‘lying about her fucking mother’ .
