Joachim Andersen scored an own goal in the first half as Aston Villa beat Crystal Palace 1-0 at Villa Park.
Patrick Vieira’s side thought they had the lead after just six minutes when Wilfried Zaha found the back of the net, but the goal was ruled offside following a VAR review.
Villa took the lead in the 27th minute when Andersen found the back of his own net. Cheick Doucoure was sent off for a second bookable offense shortly after the hour mark.
