Glastonbury 2023 line-up REVEALED with Arctic Monkeys and Guns N’ Roses joining Elton John

Arctic Monkeys and Guns N’ Roses have been announced as the final two headliners for Glastonbury, joining Sir Elton John at the top of the bill.

The British band, consisting of Alex Turner, Jamie Cook, Nick O’Malley and Matt Helders, will headline the Pyramid Stage for the third time in their career on Friday June 23rd.

The next day, the rockers from Sweet Child O’ Mine will make their Worthy Farm debut.

They join previously confirmed Sunday night headliner Sir Elton, who will close the musical extravaganza in Somerset, South West England, on June 25.

The stacked lineup also includes Lizzo, Lewis Capaldi, The War On Drugs, Christine And The Queens, Thundercat, Lil Nas X, Lana Del Rey, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Manic Street Preachers.

Hitmaker Rocket Man’s performance will mark the final UK show on Elton Farewell’s record-breaking Yellow Brick Road tour.

Elton had previously announced a final show in 2019 after vowing he would never tour again, however he has since taken a U-turn and is back on the road after having a “rest at home” with his current tour last. .

Speaking of the announcement, Elton said: ‘I couldn’t be more excited to headline the Pyramid Stage.

“As my Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour draws to a close, there is no more fitting way to say goodbye to my British fans. They have been beyond brilliant and have supported me through all the ups and downs of my career.

“I talk to new artists on my radio show every week and Glastonbury is often cited as a pivotal moment in launching their careers – the festival’s genuine and enthusiastic support for the best emerging talent is something I have long admired. .

“I’ve been talking to Emily Eavis about it for the past few weeks and I can’t wait to get into the spirit of the world’s biggest festival. It’s going to be incredibly emotional.

Blondie drummer Clem Burke recently confirmed that the band will be performing at the festival.

Speaking to Foxy Radio, he revealed that after their concert at Crystal Palace Park with Iggy Pop on July 1, the band will play other festivals, including the famous event.

Clem said: “We’re also at the Isle of Wight Festival and a few other festivals… I guess the full lineup of artists playing Glastonbury hasn’t been announced yet… but we’re playing Glastonbury so maybe you”. I have an exclusive there.
