‘This is the best job I’ve ever had’: Charlotte Crosby talks about being the mother of her daughter Alba and cries when talking about the death of her grandmother Jean

Charlotte Crosby has called being a mother “the best job she’s ever had” and was emotional when talking about the death of her grandmother Jean.

The former Geordie Shore star, 32, appeared on Channel 4’s Steph’s Packed Lunch on Thursday, cradling her four-month-old daughter Alba in her arms.

Speaking about being a mother, Charlotte gushed: ‘I love it. This is by far the best job I’ve ever had in my entire life. Honestly, there is no feeling like it.

The star, who shares Alba with boyfriend Jake Ankers, said she’s sleeping more as a mom than before, adding: “I have a baby who loves to sleep.”

Elsewhere, Charlotte opened up about her mother Letitia’s battle with breast cancer after she was diagnosed last year following a routine mammogram.

The media personality previously recounted that Letitia had no symptoms or lumps and admitted that she initially refused to believe her mother’s diagnosis.

Charlotte said: “She has finished all her treatment and is doing very, very well.” She has to keep the two strokes from her and I think that’s for about five years.

She added: “We’re just waiting for one more mammogram and if it’s all clear, she can ring the bell.”

Charlotte also spoke about the death of her nan Jean, who died in November.

Speaking about his passing, Charlotte said: ‘[It was] so hard. I couldn’t even talk about it too much because I’m going to start crying. It was just the hardest of all.

Steph asked if Jean knew Alba before she died, causing Charlotte to break down in tears and she replied, “Yes, she did.”

Announcing Jean’s passing, Charlotte wrote: ‘My little nanny Jean ❤️ Heartbroken doesn’t come close to how I feel. The love of my life and the light of my life.

‘From the time I was a little girl until now I have adored every inch of you. My brave and strong nana. My beautiful nanny. You were there when I entered the world and I was there when you took your last breath and left ❤️

I don’t think my world will ever be the same without you. I named my daughter after you for a reason nana, I don’t think you’ll ever really know how much she loved and adored you and still do.

“So many memories and this video is just a glimpse of them and it’s where I can constantly see them and relive them, it’s where I can go see you whenever I want ❤️

‘What I would give for one more day, one more hour with you even. I miss you nana I hope to see you again one day because I already long to hear you say ‘hello my love’ when I come in to see you ❤️

‘Please hug your loved ones because life is really precious.’
