Stan has announced that Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult will return for the third season of the satirical comedy-drama The Great.
Set in 18th century Russia during the time of Catherine the Great, the final 10-part season will premiere on the streaming platform on May 13.
There will be plenty of palace intrigue as Peter (Hoult) tries to make his marriage to Catherine (Fanning) work, after she tried to kill him at the end of the last season.
Meanwhile, Catherine is inspired to reform her country after receiving a visit from the ambassador of the newly independent United States.
But he discovers that learning to compromise is not easy.

Peter finds it difficult to keep busy, as Catherine managed to imprison all of his friends at the end of last season.
He dedicates himself to hunting, cooking and having more children, but the memory of his father, Pedro the Great, torments him and he fears becoming a failure.
Created and written by Tony McNamara, the new season of The Great also stars Belinda Bromilow (Packed to the Rafters), Phoebe Fox (The Aeronauts) and Adam Godley (Breaking Bad).
The cast includes Gwilym Lee (Bohemian Rhapsody), Charity Wakefield (Wolf Hall), Douglas Hodge (Joker) and Sacha Dhawan and Bayo Gbadamosi (Doctor Who).
Both Fanning, 24, and Hoult, 33, were nominated for Emmy Awards in 2022 for their performances on The Great.
Catherine is inspired to reform Russia after receiving a visit from the ambassador of the newly independent United States.
Fanning rose to fame as a child actor in films like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. He later won acclaim for the controversial series The Girl from Plainville.
She is in a relationship with actor Max Minghella. The four-year-old couple were first linked after meeting on the set of the 2018 movie Teen Spirit.
Every episode of seasons one and two of The Great is available to stream on Stan. Season three premieres May 13, only on Stan.
