Chloe Lattanzi has revealed that she felt the presence of her late mother Olivia Newton-John at her state funeral over the weekend.
The 37-year-old paid an emotional tribute to Newton-John at the memorial, saying she felt like a “lost little girl without her mother.”
Lattanzi told Channel Seven’s Sunrise on Wednesday that she was able to deliver the speech because she felt her mother’s presence inside of her.
‘It was the perfect night and I really felt Mom’s spirit there. I think love got us through it,” she explained.
‘It was difficult to get there. I got up because I heard my mother inside me and she said to me, “You’re so strong, honey, you can do it.”

Lattanzi continued: ‘It’s a privilege to stand and shout from the top of the mountain how proud you are of your mother.
“It was love that got me up there and mommy came into my body and helped me.”
The emotional Lattanzi, 37, was assisted by her husband James Driskill as she took the stage and broke down in tears at Hamer Hall in Melbourne on Sunday.
“I stand here before you so wanting to feel strong and confident and speak eloquently, but the truth is I feel like a lost child without her mother,” she said.
‘She was my safe space, my guide, my biggest fan and the Earth under my feet. I know that she is here standing next to me and inside of me. I can hear her voice.
Lattanzi went on to say that her mother was the “perfect example of a life truly lived” even if her life was tragically cut short by cancer.
‘It was difficult to get there. I got up because I heard my mother inside me and she said, “You’re so strong, honey, you can do it,” she said.
“My mother could find beauty in everything,” she said.
‘I loved our hugs. I would climb into bed with her late at night even into my early 20s. I loved the way it smelled. Nothing felt safer to me. I loved writing music and singing with her and how he would always catch on to her if she was a little out of tune.
I loved how he loved totally and completely. And I know she would want me to tell each and every one of you how grateful she was for each individual special relationship.
Newton-John died on August 8 at age 73 after a long battle with cancer.
She was diagnosed with cancer three times in 1992, 2013, and for the last time, in 2017.
