MAFS Australia: Sandy exposes the true extent of Dan’s betrayal
Sandy Jawanda has revealed why she was so shocked when her MAFS husband Dan Hunjas confessed he wasn’t ‘sexually attracted’ to her.
The 36-year-old dental hygienist was visibly surprised when the 42-year-old business owner revealed at Sunday’s engagement ceremony that the spark simply wasn’t there.
She said 9Entertainment on Tuesday, this comment was particularly cutting because she and Dan had just started being intimate behind closed doors.
However, the couple’s growing intimacy was not highlighted on the show, meaning viewers would not have understood the full extent of Dan’s hurtful words.
Speaking of her disbelief when her husband said he was struggling with attraction, Sandy said his words did not match his behavior.

‘If someone is kissing you and cuddling you, you’re going to think that person is attracted to you. I didn’t think that was a problem,” she said.
Sandy said the couple’s seemingly icy relationship on TV was misleading because they actually got really hot when cameras weren’t rolling.
‘I know it may have seemed that there was a lack of [sexual] chemistry there, but a lot of it is my inability to show public displays of affection,” she explained.
“I was very open with Dan about this from the beginning, explaining that I’m just like anyone else, I love affection, but I also have cultural sensitivities. [about PDA]. He obviously didn’t want him to feel rejected.
Sandy, 36, was visibly shocked when Dan, 42, said at Sunday’s commitment ceremony that the spark just wasn’t there. She has now revealed that this comment was particularly cutting because the couple had just started being intimate behind closed doors.
After Dan opened up about his lack of sexual attraction to Sandy at the commitment ceremony, the couple surprisingly had sex the next morning.
While this should have been a breakthrough for the couple, Sandy was dealt a brutal blow on Tuesday’s show when she found out what her husband really thinks of her.
Intruding girlfriend Evelyn Ellis pulled Sandy aside to let her know that her husband, Rupert Bugden, had called her by accident and she outdid him and other boyfriends, including Dan, by badmouthing their wives.
“I’m about to tell you something I think you might like to know,” Evelyn began.
‘Over the weekend some of the husbands went out for a drink. Rupert marked me butt, he called me pocket.
“I could hear the conversations between some of the kids, very clearly, and they were not saying very nice things about their wives, particularly about Dan.”
Sandy was left in tears on Tuesday’s episode of MAFS after finding out what her husband Dan really thinks of her.

A shocked Sandy replied, “Dan said he was with his daughter,” to which Evelyn firmly replied, “Dan was out with the kids.”
‘What was he saying?’ Sandy asked.
“I was implying that he’s too good for this experiment and too good for you,” Evelyn said.

A shocked Sandy revealed that she had no idea that Dan had been drinking with the boys, as he had told her that he was seeing his daughter.
Evelyn explained that she later confronted her husband Rupert about it, who told her that Dan was “showing all the guys pictures of his ex-girlfriends, bragging about how hot they were.” [they] were’.
A heartbroken Sandy admitted that it hurt her that Dan did this to her only days after they were intimate.
She said that although she was upset by the news, she would rather be aware of what was being said behind her back than remain ignorant.

A heartbroken Sandy admitted that she was hurt that Dan would do this to her only days after they were intimate.
“You deserve better than this,” Evelyn assured him.
“Thank you for telling me this, because I thought I was going crazy,” Sandy replied, before saying that she was fed up with the way Dan had been treating her lately.
Earlier in the episode, Evelyn said she was “disgusted” by some of the things Dan and his partner Hugo Armstrong said about their wives.
“I had a feeling that Dan was a bit of a jerk, but that really cemented my early assumptions,” he said.
