Former Married At First Sight star Domenica Calarco has defended this year’s ‘villain’, Tayla Winter.
The 27-year-old nurse, who has been paired with Hugo Armstrong, has come under fire for saying her husband is “not a man’s man” and making him sleep on the couch during their honeymoon.
domenica said yahoo lifestyle on Monday, she believes Tayla has been given the “worst edit” and is not being portrayed accurately.
“I know she just walked in, but I personally think maybe she’s portrayed the wrong way because of certain things she says and how she acts.”
“I didn’t give her free rein because she was so mean to Hugo, but I think there’s a lot more to it.”

It comes after Tayla and her husband Hugo made several explosive claims about the show.
In a behind-the-scenes video leaked to the MAFS Gossip Instagram PageThe couple of intruders assured that everything they see on the screen is “very directed.”
‘Anything of substance, we are only allowed to do that in front of [the camera crew] while they see what we say. It’s very rare,” Hugo said.
Tayla agreed, adding, “We haven’t been able to talk [privately]. They check us to see if we are really talking.
“We are very direct in what we have to say and filming does not stop because we are responsible for the characters that we are supposed to be,” he added.
Hugo also stated that Tayla is “not as bad” as she is portrayed on the show.
Domenica told Yahoo Lifestyle on Monday that she believes Tayla (pictured) has been given the “worst edit” and is not being accurately depicted.
The leaked video follows an unfortunate editing error in last Monday’s episode.
During Tayla and Hugo’s wedding, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the guest walking the bride down the aisle was wearing a headset in her left ear.
While the device was hidden, it became visible when she turned her head to the side as she walked with Tayla towards her new boyfriend.
Reality stars often wear headphones during filming so they can receive instructions from the producers.
