MasterChef star Kahn Ong is criticized for ‘sexualizing’ scientist Dr. Matt Agnew
MasterChef star Khanh Ong has come under fire for making obscene comments about his friend, Dr. Matt Agnew, during a discussion about his latest scientific research.
Khanh, 30, invited the astrophysicist, 35, to his Feast podcast this week, but things turned awkward when his co-host, Sarah Davidson, questioned Matt about his latest intellectual pursuits.
Matt began to describe his theories about the solar system, but Khanh quickly cut him off, saying, ‘This is so sexy! When Matt talks about astrophysics and planets, it’s so hot!’
A blushing Matt revealed that Khanh had been “urging” him to make “sexy science” videos on TikTok.
Sarah joked that the Bachelor star should draw the solar system on her abs, before Khanh gleefully added: ‘Oh my gosh, can we?’

Reposting a clip of the interview on Instagram, the anonymous admin wrote: ‘This makes me uncomfortable.
‘You have someone with a PhD in astrophysics on your podcast and you not only cut them out, but completely ignore their research and sexualize them.
‘If she were a female scientist, would you ask her to draw planets on her abs like you asked Matt? I don’t care if they are friends. It’s not funny.’
Khanh invited the astrophysicist to his podcast this week, but things turned sour when his co-host, Sarah Davidson, questioned Matt about his latest intellectual pursuits. As Matt started to speak, Khanh interrupted: ‘When Matt talks about astrophysics and planets, he’s so hot!’
However, there were plenty of positive comments below the original video on the podcast’s Instagram page, with one fan writing, “I’d like to learn more about the planets now please and thank you.”
“I’m suddenly interested in planetary science,” another follower quipped.
Elsewhere in the interview, Matt and Khanh talked about their close relationship. friendship, while denying there was anything ‘sexual’ in their bond.
Since then, influencer watchdog account Dutch Minty has accused Khanh of undermining Matt’s scientific knowledge by making sexualized comments.
“It’s the lack of affection that straight men show other men that people assume there must be something sexual there,” Matt said.
‘Be affectionate and tactful with your friends, and the boys especially need to do more of this. Everyone should be comfortable enough with their sexuality not to feel uncomfortable showing affection, male or female.’
“There’s that random line in the sand, nah, guys can’t show affection, which is stupid,” he added.

Matt went on to explain that the couple enjoy sharing a platonic hug since they are both single and in need of companionship.
Humans are very social creatures. Cuddling and cuddling, that releases dopamine and makes you feel good,’ he said.
‘For everyone, women and men, hugs are important. That physical comfort and being able to feel safe. It is something inherently human.
Matt added that the couple often calls each other and says, ‘Let’s have a movie night. [and] have a hug.’
