Amy Childs defends Molly-Mae Hague from mother-shaming

Amy Childs has defended Molly-Mae Hague from online trolls who criticized her for returning to exercise shortly after giving birth to her daughter.

Love Islander and her boyfriend Tommy Fury, both 23, welcomed their first child, a girl named Bambi, on January 23, and Molly-Mae resumed training a month later.

She wrote: ‘Trolls pestering Molly-Mae Hague for going back to the gym after Bambi needs to back off: it’s her body. It’s totally up to Molly what she wants to do, whatever makes her happy.

“After giving birth, I have a lot going on, so I think training for me is probably not the first thing on my mind.

“It’s definitely something I’ll be coming back to in the next few months after the twins arrive. At the end of the day, I could have a C-section and I’m not recommended to exercise for 12 weeks. ‘

Amy added that if Molly-Mae has been cleared by her doctors to return to the gym, then she doesn’t see what the problem is.

It comes after Molly-Mae revealed the little girl’s sweet nickname on Sunday, and it’s also Disney-inspired.

The beauty captioned her post with a flower, coffee, baby, cloud, and heart emoji.

The former Love Island star announced the birth of Bambi last month, before revealing that they named their baby girl Bambi, which received a mixed response.

In a video shared to her YouTube last week, Molly-Mae responded to the backlash the name received.

She commented: “I was brought back to earth very quickly from how disgusting this world can be.”

She also recounted how she was initially concerned about revealing the name and was stunned by the comments before being forced to disable Instagram comments.

Despite the negativity, the star expressed how much she loved the moniker, revealing that it was ‘beautiful’ and ‘unique’, and that the influencer had loved the name for years.

She explained: ‘The name reveal was a tough day for me. I disabled Instagram comments on that post. I was brought back down to earth very quickly from how disgusting this world can be.

“Because we literally knew our first girl was going to be named Bambi, we had gotten so used to the idea that that would be her name and it wasn’t that unusual for us anymore.”
