The last weekend of February 2023 is just around the corner – and there’s a veritable plethora of new movies and TV shows to watch next.
As usual with these parts, we’ve rounded up seven of the most intriguing and (potentially) entertaining series and movies for the weekend. Unsurprisingly, Netflix dominates this week’s list, but there are also entries from Prime Video, Disney Plus, and Apple TV Plus. There’s even one from Peacock – we know, we surprised ourselves.
Here, then, are the TV shows and movies you need to stream over the next few days.
Outer Banks season 3 (Netflix)
Outdoor benches is one of those Netflix shows that just grabbed viewers’ attention when it debuted in April 2020 – and it’s been on hold ever since. Fans of the teen mystery drama series will be happy to hear that the highly anticipated third season is back.
This time, the Pogues become adrift from the titular coastal town and wash up on a new island where several treasures are waiting to be found. With several enemies still on their trail, and tensions between the group fraying, Outdoor benches season 3 promises to deliver more thrilling spectacles and dramatic moments for its millions of fan base. Don’t be surprised to see it sneaking onto our list of the best Netflix shows soon.

The Advisor (first video)
Office-based thrillers and dark comedies are becoming an increasingly fascinating part of the streaming landscape, such as Dismissal And Mythical quest captivating viewers in recent times.
prime videos The consultant seems to add his name to that list. The twisted workplace comedy-thriller stars Christoph Waltz as Mr. Patoff, a mysterious and eccentric consultant (surprise surprise) who appears to save CompWare, an app-based company, when a merger with another organization falls through. It’s not long before Patoff makes his mark on CompWare employees, who are forced to meet new demands that challenge them personally and professionally. One to add to our guide of best Prime Video shows? Sure.

Bel-Air Season 2 (Peacock)
The Fresh Prince of Bel-AirThe drama-fueled 21st century reboot is back this weekend for its second season on Peacock.
After the dramatic conclusion of the first season, BelairIn the next episode, Will tries to navigate all aspects of his life, while being challenged when new characters enter the picture and begin to try to influence the young man he is meant to be. Interestingly, Tatyana Ali – who portrayed Ashley in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air – is set to make recurring guest appearances in Belair season 2. Fans of the original might want to check this one out to see how she plays into the equation.
The first three episodes of Season 2 of Bel-Air are now available to stream on Peacock in the US, with new episodes airing every Thursday. UK viewers can watch the series via Sky and Now TV.
Die Hart (first video)
After the success Nicolas Cage had with a meta-comedy The unbearable weight of enormous talentit’s Kevin Hart’s turn to play a fictionalized version of himself in a movie.
That’s the premise of Die Hart, in which Hart portrays himself trying to become a career pivot from comedic wingman to the world’s biggest action star. John Travolta, Nathalie Emmanuel, Josh Hartnett and Jean Renno are among the film’s supporting cast.
If Die Hart‘s title rings a bell, that’s because it was originally a 10-episode Quibi TV show. With the demise of that streaming service, Amazon repurposed Die Hart for its Prime Video audience, turning the TV show into a feature film. We’re not sure why either, but we’ll add Die Hart coming soon to our new list of Prime Video movies. However, don’t expect it to make its way into our best Prime Video movies article.
Now available worldwide on Prime Video.
Connection (Apple TV Plus)
Apple TV Plus is finally being recognized as a major player on the streaming stage. And, like its contemporaries, it translates that success by expanding and green-lighting more foreign-language productions.
The latest of those projects is link, a six-episode French-English original series starring Eva Green and Vincent Cassel, among others. It is described as a high-stakes contemporary spy thriller that explores “how the mistakes of our past can destroy our future, combining action with an unpredictable, multi-layered plot where espionage and political intrigue are set against a story of passionate and abiding love” .
Could it make it to our top Apple TV Plus shows? It’s certainly possible, but we’ll have to see what all six episodes are like before we can pass judgment.
The first episode of Liaison is now available on Apple TV Plus, with new episodes arriving on the streamer every Friday.
Fleishman is in Trouble (Disney Plus)
After debuting on Hulu in the US last November, Fleishman is in trouble has finally come to Disney Plus in international territories.
The drama miniseries stars Jesse Eisenberg as Toby Fleishman, a 41-year-old recently divorced woman who has found dating success among the world’s many, well, dating apps. However, when his ex-wife Rachel (Claire Danes) goes missing, Toby is left with his children Hannah and Solly, potentially undermining his chances of sexual freedom and a promotion at work.
Fleishman is in trouble was positively received upon initial release in late 2022, so viewers outside the US will have plenty to enjoy here. Look for it soon on our list of the best Disney Plus shows.
All eight episodes are available to stream on Disney Plus in the UK and abroad, as well as Hulu in the US.
We Have a Ghost (Netflix)
It wouldn’t be a weekly TechRadar streaming list without a new Netflix movie to watch, would it?
This week’s entry is We have a ghosta family comedy horror based on a short story by Geoff Manaugh called Seriously. When Kevin (Marvel star Anthony Mackie) and his family discover their new home is haunted by a ghost named Ernest (Stranger thingsDavid Harbour), they set up a YouTube channel and turn themselves and Ernest into stars overnight. However, when Kevin and Ernest begin to uncover the truth behind his death, they are pursued by the CIA. Yeah, we have no idea why either.
Certainly a potential entry in our list of the best Netflix movies, so we hope it won’t run afoul of other Netflix original movies that haven’t caught on with audiences.
Now available worldwide on Netflix.
